D-line pulled through with the sacks also lat in the game. Pretty uncharacteristic of Bardy though to throw 4 away like that.

What happened? The Pats were up 28-23 with a minute and a half to go and they had the ball, I had to run to the store so I missed the last 11/2 minutes of the game.

remember that htorw brady did when he was going down and he just threw it away and his reciever caught it, he tried that again and it got picked off, miami went on 4th down and got the touchdown off it and they got another pick up off brady

It was good game and a great win for the Dolphins. This pretty much takes the Pats out of the running for a buy in the playoffs. Now only if the Steelers could loose a couple games my Chargers would get the first round buy...wishful thinking Im sure.

That game was shocking for sure...I couldnt believe my eyes; or the fact that Brady tried to throw that one away!! :eek: Costly! It's kinda sad though..even though I dont like the Pats, its not like Miami have any chance of making the playoffs, even as a wild card! But, thems the breaks I guess :)

A "sack" is when the defensive line (of the opposing team) manages to take the quarter back down while he still has possession of the ball, but he has to still be at the scrimmage line or in the pocket. And yes, they use to be a good team; then again, Dan Marino use to be their Q.B. too (he still has records set...Payton Manning is in the process of breakign them now)

OH it is a tackle..but only when it's the Q.B. being taken down is it called a sack...hence the phrase "sack that quarterback"!!! :D

Oh yes, youre right about that..much more selective! any defensive lineman's fondest desire is to sack that Q.B.. nothing like it. Sack him, then smush him into the ground while they pick themselves up off of him, and then stand over him shaking their heads "no, no, no"...you have to form the mental image of that last little bit there..its priceless! :D God, gotta love football!! I'm assuming that youre having to watch that now instead of rugby since youre living in the states now?? :confused:

I'm glad youre giving football a try (interest wise) its a fantastic sport and get's the blood pumping.
