Nah. Archie's an unquestionable top 20 ATG. B-hop isn't. Great fighter, not the Old Mongoose.

no, Moore beat better competition, and more of it.

A more interesting debate is who had the better over 40 career...but pretty damn difficult to answer, seeing as Moore was heavily rumored to be a few years older than is today listed.

Archie Moore is one of the 20 greatest ever to lace on gloves.
Hopkins is closer to the 50-100 mark if that.

I know one guy who would say otherwise though. Waiting for him to post...

How does Hopkins rate all-time among middleweights? I've heard commentators during his fights like Emanuel Stewart say top 5, I believe he still ranked Hagler and Monzon ahead of him, what's the consensus on that though?

I voted yes because I read it too quick and thought it meant post 40. On those terms I rate Hopkins the best ever, but as far as entire careers go it's Moore for sure.

Closer to a 100, really? Surely B-Hop has to be a top 30/35? No? Resume, Skills, Longativity, H2H, Ducked No One. He has the full package, what a top 30 needs.

I have him at #10.

Most atleast have him in the Top 10.

Can't see an argument for him being top 5, personally.

No way.

I have Hopkins No8 All Time Middleweight.

Say he's Top 50 at least whereas Moore I have in the Top 15.

Thailand, she caught my eye in a Tony Jaa film called Tom Yum Goong/The Protector.

I'll keep it simple - No.

Two great fighters but Moore is imo clearly the greater

Nard is so ugly to watch, cant fault his ability to nullify his opponents strengths tho

Id take Dawson over Hopkins right now for the record

Seen the question, voted ASAP, then peeked to see how the brethren here are thinking.

Glad to see that so many of you fellas know your boxing pecking order!

Hopkins added a little luster to his resume, but Pascal is not the stuff that legends are made of.

Archie Moore is in the all-time top 3-4 175lbers of all-time.
