Names fights past or present were a fighter talked tons of trash and got beat and in the process got made a fool of and humbled?

Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis.
George Foreman didn't really talk trash but, he did become humble.

I think selling the fight is a different scenario. Mike Tyson knew he was most likely going to get pummeled by Lennox Lewis and just talked all that nonsense to maximize the sales.

This thread has been done before and I will use the same example now as I did then. The ultimate, most satisfying humbling I have witnessed is;

Ali Vs Fraizer 1. No question.

No way did Ali humble.

"I'm sure I hit him 3x more than he hit me if you watch the film."
"All black people know I won"
"I am the true champion of the world and YOU ALL shall bow."
"I'm the greatest fighter of all time."
"Fight might not go 2 minutes."
"Come on gorilla make it a thrilla'"

I don't think that's humbling.

I suppose. I don't always see 'humbling' someone as literal statment. People making those excuses after all that trash talk is the epitome of 'humbling' to me.

Making those pathetic excuses after losing is actually worse.

Look at Degale now for example.

George Foreman being another immediate example after Ali.

I see those as humbling.

Frazier could have won by KO in the first round and Ali would still have been a dickhead, that's just who he is.

Edisen Miranda has a habit of talking big sheet, then getting KTFO.

Yeah Haugen was a character. Didn't he have two memorable fights against Camacho too? The memorable thing about that Chavez fight also was the fight taking place in Mexico and Haugen's entrance music being Born in the USA lol.

I don't think that's humbling. The look on Ali's face when that last bell rang told it all. And Frazier smacked him on the head like a chump.

The sweetest for me had to be MAB/Hamed. Especially since Foreman kept trying to talk him back in the fight.

Miranda was talking a boatload of **** to jermain taylor before his fight with kelly pavlik

he was so confident he was going to win he trashed his future opponent
and was humbled by being knocked out in a BRUTAL fight and never even making it to a title shot

i'd call that humbling.

sergio mora lost recently to brian vera after saying "i think i'm one of the best fighters on the world and i'm just waiting for somebody to shut me up"

vera shut him up and i havn't heard from him since

paulie malinaggi talked a blue streak before his fight with khan
and looked as humbled as any fighter i've seen at the end when he was stopped
