View Full Version : Who Should/(Do you want) Wlad to Fight Next?
!! Mr. Soprano 09-26-2005, 12:02 PM As the outcomes of both IBF and WBO remain unknown, kind of trying to address two things here:
1 - Who in your opinion Wlad SHOULD fight next? (This one benefits his career)
2 - Who do you WANT TO SEE him fight next? (benefits the viewers)
sanjayint 09-26-2005, 12:14 PM what happens if he has to fight his older brother?? wud the commisioning bodys force him too??? sum 1 explain??
RAESAAD 09-26-2005, 12:16 PM If brewster wins then he has to fight Brewster...If he really wants to get his cred back IMO.
paul750 09-26-2005, 12:17 PM The winner of Krasniqi/brewster.
i read that he will fight in dec. before fighting for the title against either byrd/tos or brewster/krasniqi
Memorex 09-26-2005, 12:20 PM he needs to kick the **** out of brewster
xzworks 09-26-2005, 12:24 PM fight his bro..hehehe
Martin (Top Knowledge) 09-26-2005, 12:30 PM He should fight Byrd because he's just become the IBF mandatory.
But I'd like to see how he fares with Krasniqi.
Mark 22 09-26-2005, 12:33 PM He should get the IBF belt. Then fight Brewster in a unification bout.

yeah but he is WBO #1 too and he SHOULD try to beat a fighter he has already lost too rather than one he has already beaten to make is credibility continue to rise...I won't think much of him even if he beats Byrd again.....Thats if Brewster makes it out of Germany intact.

They are ranked in different organizations...
They will not fight each other, and I don't think it will ever come to that..

True...
trinidadpr87 09-26-2005, 12:52 PM I really don't care who he fights anymore because i was rooting for him for the Peter fight but i lost respect because he didn't even try to finish Peter in the last round.
I say Williamson. That whole technical decision was not a good thing. Wlad said it himself after the fight, people did not want to see that kind of deal happen. It left too many question marks and Williamson himself thought the fight should have been scored dead even.
DiegoFuego 09-26-2005, 02:42 PM Guarantee he ducks Brewster and let Vitali do the honors. He'll fight Byrd-Williamson winner. He'll UD Byrd and get KO'ed by Williamson.
Torino 09-26-2005, 02:44 PM Although it's very unlikely, I want to see him fight Ruiz next.
Hitman932 09-26-2005, 03:50 PM Although it's very unlikely, I want to see him fight Ruiz next.
Id like to see him fight an Al Cole or a Kali Meehan, maybe even andrew golota or someone like hasim rahman or chris byrd would fight, no reason to take any chances.
Ukr_Alex 09-26-2005, 03:52 PM He should finish what he wasnt able to finish in the Brewster fight, and thats beating him from corner to corner till his heart has no say over his nap on the canvas.
moochi 09-26-2005, 03:55 PM i want him to fight brewster .....regardless if brewster wins or not against krasniqi...........
if he doesn't fight brewster, i'd like to see him rematch TOS....i think TOS deserves it......
having said all this, wlad will pick whoever he thinks is the easiest for him........and this will be BYRD..........and the best thing is that BYRD will beat wlad this time around.....
Ukr_Alex 09-26-2005, 03:57 PM KO'ed by Williamson.
Peter wasnt able to knock him out. What makes you think Williamson will?
Anyway...Wlad already beat him...

picture perfect post
i dont know how byrd, who hasnt fought in a year, is 35 years old, has arguably lost his last 3 fights and hits like a feather is gonna beat wlad...
Kimmy 09-26-2005, 05:07 PM Quite simple really. A Byrd win i believe is a lock, so the safest option would be Byrd and it carrys the IBF title as reward ( consider the IBF blt to hold more cred than the WBO ).
The toughest would be Brewster. Brewster is very conifident and despite Saturday it is not a foregone conclusion Wlad would win!
However, i think with Byrd being older and may give at anytime Wlad would be wise to pursue this fight. Also, Byrd has always made excuses for the loss so if he is sincere he should fight Wlad without arguement.
Williamson, well the first fight was inconclusive for my money. Wlad was winning but Williamson was not out of the fight by any means. So the way i'd map it if i were team Klit would be Byrd first, defend against Williamson should he beat Toney ( which i don`t think he will ) then against Brewster or his opponent tomorrow should he lose!
I would like to see Wlad go up against Byrd, just so he can kick his ass. But at the same time I would like to see him go against Brewster so he can avenge that loss, now that he is back to boxing and not trying to go for the home run with every punch he throws.
Cali_Rob 09-26-2005, 06:43 PM He shoul redeem himself against Brewster but....I know this is out of the blue but, I would like to see him fight Audley Harrison.
ejk22 09-26-2005, 06:47 PM I want him to fight Brewster. The fight won't be as difficult as most on here believe it would be. I think he would beat Brewster the same way he did for four rounds and eventually finish him off via TKO.
`STEELHEAD 09-26-2005, 07:50 PM would like to see wlad say he's injured and can't fight in december. take more time off. then fight a tuneup against tua after he beats cisse or what ever his name is.
Renegade 09-26-2005, 07:50 PM i read that he will fight in dec. before fighting for the title against either byrd/tos or brewster/krasniqi
I read pretty much the same thing, but I thought Wlad said he wanted Brewster, like in Feb. I'd rather see him fight Byrd, just to get him out of the picture all together, but redemption against Brewster would go a long way towards re-establishing his credibility. That being said, Brewster better knock Krasniqi TFO, ain't no way he's comin' out of Germany with a decision on Max Schmeling's birthday! Who set that **** up?
