RAESAAD 09-22-2005, 03:11 PM Nice to meet you well if you call it that on a internet forum but either way what-up I like Taylor alot too but am a little bitter about the Hopkins fight he clearly did not do anything to earn the victory..A draw would have been acceptable. It should not take you long to figure out who my fav is. ;)
rocco1252 09-22-2005, 03:11 PM u might wanna watch the fight again then dude.
exactly my thoughts again! one step ahead KB way to be
Go To Sleep 09-22-2005, 03:13 PM u might wanna watch the fight again then dude.
i think he won it because he was more aggressive than Hopkins
Bernard did nothing besides clowning around until the last 2 or 3 rounds

yes, a draw would have been acceptable, seeing as how taylor just threw a bunch of punches, that b-hop magicly dodged by centimeters, but no pays attention to the sweet science anymore, they just want 2 see punches thrown wether they connect or not. U people r a disgrace to boxing
2nd II none 09-22-2005, 03:16 PM u might wanna watch the fight again then dude.
For what? I seen it I know who won I think you people who think hopkins won should watch it over except this time take the love for hopkins out of your eyes. You can't win a fight by winning only 3 rounds in a fight.

so what your sayen is if i go fight Klitscho and throw a **** load of punches without connecting, i win, hell yeah, i think i can do that. I dont think hop won the fight, he did bull**** a lot, but i dont feel Taylor did enough to get a decision either, a draw is where it should have been, and it is clear he won the 12th round, that is the only round i need 2dispute as that is the round that cost him

Ok, lets clear this up.
To win a fight you must throw punches,Taylor did the whole fight did hopkins? no he did the DLH strategy and backpedaled the whole fight.
Secondly, to win a fight you must be the busy fighter and dictate the pace of the fight, taylor did that did hopkins? hell no he ran.
Basiclly what you guys think is that just because hopkins was champ all he had to do was show up throw a couple punches and he wins that is horse **** period.Taylor took it to him and won the fight flat out.
+= El Jefe=+ 09-22-2005, 03:24 PM come on guys Hop lost but in the re-match i dont think Taylor s going to come out alive.
Bernard is one of(notice "ONE OF" dont ****ing say i said he was "THE greatest ever") the greatest MW ever Taylor is young and raw after he polishes his skills he might be one of the best ever too but right now the only reason he won was because Hop was screwing around too much in the last fight
PD Hop needs the ****ing executioner MASK!!!!!!!!!!!
Basiclly what you guys think is that just because hopkins was champ all he had to do was show throw a couple punches and he wins that is horse **** period.Taylor took it to him and won the fight flat out.
Did you see the final punchstat numbers for the fight?
Unbelieveable. Hopkins was robbed outright.
He threw less, landed equal and at a higher percentage.
Not to mention he put Taylor on queer street in the championship rounds.
That is where Taylor was supposed to take the title from him.
+= El Jefe=+ 09-22-2005, 03:26 PM hey guys hit Go To Sleep With Karma before some dumbass gives him bad karma that keeps him red for a while believe me it happenes all the tim

so what your sayen is that throwing more punches is winning, even tho hopkins landed more than Taylor, hmmmm. Go back and look at the percentages, i feel what your sayen, but yall are just haters in denial looken for an excuse to right the wrong
2nd II none 09-22-2005, 03:26 PM Point and fact,
Hopkins is gonna be what? 41 years old soon? Face it guys his glory days are done.

answer me this, did hopkins win the 12th round in your opinion

Hopkins may have landed a higher percentage but it's only because he hardly threw any punches up until the 9th rd when he realized Taylor was whippin his ass.All you have to do to see who was winning is watch hopkins corner and you'll know who was winning and who wasn't.
2nd II none 09-22-2005, 03:30 PM answer me this, did hopkins win the 12th round in your opinion
I gave the last 3 rounds to Hopkins but actually the 12th could have been a tie round. Now having said that can you name a round before the 10th that you thought hopkins actually won?

once again u claim throwing punches is winning, lets ask some pro's here, if i hit ya 100 times and only throw 100, means i'm the smarter fighter, if i throw 1000 and land 90, means i suck and cant hit my target. Once again only one round in ? here, the 12th, how did that become Taylors

I actually had more tie rounds than anything, i cant blame the judges for hop did do what he alwayz does and feels out his opponent, unfortunatley he waited too long. I thought his stunning defense could have won him a few rounds, like i alwayz say, it takes both offense and defense to box, why not judge on both

Ok, lets ask me I have 14 years of boxing experince and I say dictating the pace of the fight is a good way to win it.Besides your just talkin stupid you know Taylor didn't throw 1000 and land only 90 or anything in that type of percentage. If you're gonna argue boxing with me please know what you're talking about.

oh my ****en god, are u really that ****en stupid, i dont think so, u alright, but come on now, i was using those numbers as an example, and yes, i know what i'm talken bout. Being aggresive is a good way 2win the fight yes, but come on now, land one or two that are affective. Hop got hit with like 2good punches but that is it.

Because fights are not scored on defensive effectiveness.
here is the scoring criteria
1)punch effectiveness and ring generalship
2)pace dictation and who's carrying the fight.
there's a 3rd but I can't recall what it is at the moment.

OK, last question who do you think won?

i know there not, which is a bunch of ****, but the sport is ****ed up right now, sorry to drag this on and on, as it has been overdone, lets wait till the rematch, soundz like a bet coming on.....
2nd II none 09-22-2005, 03:40 PM I'll definately be betting on that when it happens.
kbpoetree 09-22-2005, 03:41 PM OK, last question who do you think won?
unfortunately i had it a draw, but my score card was way different from the judges, i had a few draw rounds. Some rounds Taylor looked good the last few seconds, but i judge the whole round not just few seconds, unfortunatly judges push a button thruought the round and sometimes the outcome of the round is a surprise even to themselves
2nd II none 09-22-2005, 03:45 PM Well I scored about the 1st 7 to 8 rounds for taylor as far as I seen hopkins wasn't doing a damn thing until the 9th when he finally woke up and was like ....oh snap i'm gettin killed right now on the cards.
sleeper 09-22-2005, 04:21 PM Why does that happen?
