i kinda feel the same way about between 130 and 120, at 120 i was prob more faster but at 130 i lose some speed but echange it for a lot of power and its not like when i bump up to 130 i do it buy gettin fat, i just worked out a lot this summer and natural gaining weight process of 14 year old lol

daya tons of you are about 130ish

i'm 137 but i "have" to drop to 125 according to my coach. i'm 5'4...but i'm all muscle and no fat. this was good in wrestling, but I think it'll be a disadvantage for a boxer. and the 16ozes are too heavy to punch with power. I've never tried 10oz which is what we'll be using in golden gloves, but I've tried 14oz and I can punch faster with them. Hopefully, 10oz will be light enough where I can be powerful with them b/c I don't wanna be at 125 too long b/c I don't think that's who I am. although I'm 137, I'm 145 when I eat better. It's just exams recently made me smaller

Anyway, about my 5 month experience. my instrucotr says theres a "novice" division for people < 10 amateur bouts. open is >= 10 amateur. I'm 21. I'll be at the novice division I guess.

I plan on doing the Golden Gloves in Wisconin (Green Bay) but that is not for several months. I plan on doing some tournments before that like in Milwaukee.
