boxer2k5 12-17-2004, 02:01 PM i need to get some but i dont feel like ordering them
im going to see if modells have some
i was wondering if i bought wrestling shoes
is there any big difference
BlackBeltNow 12-17-2004, 02:50 PM I use my wrestling shoes from HS. i don't know if they're different. if they are, its probably in the ankle support. but boxing shoes range widely from the ankle area. some shoes are like boots, and makes the ankle rigid. some are like shoes, almost exactly like wrestling shoes.
Atwa_66 12-17-2004, 04:07 PM Wrestling shoes are almost identical, just without alot of ankle support. They will work fine, But if you really ever need some, I know Everlast has real nice shoes. I know you're not looking to order but, just a tip :)
jack_the_rippuh 12-17-2004, 06:05 PM From what I see, boxing shoes aren't even mandatory.
Can't you just wear sneakers like some Nikes or something..
Dyl-G 12-17-2004, 09:03 PM true that especially training u want padded shoes or else u get shin splints a lot easir so get something with a good sole. then when u are sparring get some shoes that have light soles to resemble your feet as much as possible so u move easier

These are the best boxing gym shoes, just a simple pair of Nike cortez(buy Nylon not leather). there the perfect weight, grip, etc.

I have worn wrestling shoes and there isnt much difference, i think there heavier in general.
Hunna 12-17-2004, 10:39 PM that is the good thing about boxing, u can pretty much wear any type of shoe. Depends how much u wanna spend, i know some fighters who have fought for national and state titles, who still borrow shoes or wear there sneakers. also, some fighters can't afford a good boxing shoe.
boxer2k5 12-19-2004, 06:28 PM i was just asking about the difference between the 2

jack_the_rippuh 01-30-2005, 03:07 PM I remember I tried jump roping barefoot before. That stuff hurts under your feet..
boxer2k5 01-30-2005, 04:48 PM why would someone train barefoot

xrhythmxnxbluesx 01-30-2005, 04:55 PM the jordan boxing shoes are cool to train with....
boxer2k5 02-06-2005, 02:41 AM now i have come to the conclusion that wrestling shoes are no different from boxing shoes
East bay only carry wrestling shoes right
how come in their wrestling section they have shoes
thats at titleboxing catalog and website
the same style
Eastbay style (http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail.cfm?TID=5555-53060501370153010264174-0&supercat=sports&model_nbr=44696&sku=3029093&module=sports&action=viewMVPicks_Wrestling%20Shoes&zone=1&grid=12)
Boxingshoes.com style (http://store.boxingshoes.com/boxing-shoes-asics-aslt-2.html)
same shoes right
now ive also went to models and they only carrie wrestling shoes right
well in their wrestling section they had these
NIKE SHOES (http://store.boxingshoes.com/boxingshoes-nike-lo-pro-boxing-shoes.html)
which are they boxing or wrestling
not only i btu a few guys at my gym have them
whats the real difference
between boxing and wrestling sneaks
or is there one in the first place
if different stores are advertising them for different sports
whats up with that
heres one more
boxingshoes.com shoe (http://store.boxingshoes.com/boxingshoes-adidas-combat-speed-boxing-shoes.html)
modells advertised wrestling shoe (http://www.modells.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1280684&cp=711660.693844&parentPage=family)
is one store lying or are they both telling the truth
Dyl-G 02-06-2005, 03:12 AM What about training barefoot?
