Anyone have any good training methods that can be used to increase explosiveness and speed-strength?

Height: 5'8 1/2"
Weight: 156-159
Age: 18
I would consider myself to be in above-average physical condition, but haven't had much experience in boxing. Definitely interested though and have been working on a training regimen to follow that will help me improve as a boxer.

yea, it is called plyometrics.

i would recommend getting professional advice before you attapt to try this workout. it is prety intense and you can seriously injure yourself.

...on the positive side...it REALLY does work.

following program 2-3 times per week:
1. Bench Press
2. Squats
3. Chin ups
4. Dips
5. Leg Press
6. One Arm Row

Complete each exercise for 3-5 sets. The other major issue with lifting your best weights for strength improvements is the rest you take between sets. For muscle building it is 45-60sec but for strength it is 3-5 minutes! This is the real secret to getting fast improvements in strength. Many people (Personal Trainers included) leave this part out bur this is where the real gains come.
Follow this and you will see results!
