View Full Version : Saw The Movie 'Crash'.....
LuKahnLi 09-08-2005, 10:05 AM The new one, not the one with James Spader.
It was an amazing film. I will be dissapointed if it isn't up for multiple academy awards. Especially the actors.
Bombardier 09-08-2005, 10:18 AM Man, that old movie Crash was terrible. I would say that David Cronenberg is our most embarassing export, but there's Celine Dion, so...
BLOODSHED 09-08-2005, 11:56 AM My friend in britain saw it and said it was too honest of a movie.
Pac Man Fan 83 09-08-2005, 12:57 PM It was very good.

What did he mean by that? Too honest??

That's what made it so good.
Best movie I've seen all year.

The Fix 09-08-2005, 03:54 PM crash was a great movie, i thought luda did a pretty good job for his first movie in which he starred for more than 5 minutes

I agree. Ludacris was very good.....though lets face it, he wasn't exactly cast against type.
Sweat 09-08-2005, 09:00 PM I almost cried when the white cop shot the black dude in the car.

Yeah, that was so ironic. He was the NON racist guy, but he acts on the prejudices he felt that he was above. I felt bad for him.....and the dude he shot.
It is amazing how the film argues that on one hand, racism is produced by the racist individual's ignorance, but on the other hand, people bring it on themselves.
I couldn't believe the scene where Ludacris and Larenz Tate were talking about how racist all the white people were, how it is uncalled for, then they go and stick up a white married couple and steel their SUV.
The entire scene between Thandie Newton and Matt Dillon in the overturned car that was catching fire is one of the most amazing things ever filmed in my opinion. That scene is probably Matt Dillon's best acting in his entire career.
