i cant agree with Scarface that is a classic, Al Pacino is so realistic and that is why so many people have been influenced, i got to say Independence Day was over hyped, one sfx and that was it

lord of the rings- that **** ran on too long it was so annoying and i was bored to tears when they wernt fighting. dont get me wrong the effects were good and all but i started laughing when it showed those little dudes feet plus a whole bunch of corny ****

I maybe hated for this one but, Star wars, all of em. When I was 8 years old they were cool. But the writing in all of the movies is pretty poor. Lucas is a hack IMO. Hes made a ****load of money, Ill give him that. But I find his star wars elemetary at best.

I with The Fix on this one, I always thought the Lord of the Rings kind of sucked.

Scarface is goes a little too long, but it has memorable moments.

Lord of the Rings movies are overrated yes - but this follows from the books being overrated - BIG TIME! Ok their old, and in their day they may have been good, but there are so many other fantasy series out now that would have KTFO of LOTR if made into movies.

I think Nick Cage's movies are overrated - cos to rate them at all is to overrate them - but thats just because I dont like him, his 'acting' or his monotone voice that never ever changes.

dodge was right on the mark with Titanic. How that movie ever won 11 or 12 academy awards is beyond me. Just plain awefull.

The other one I would nominate is E.T. It was kind of a cute movie i guess for little kids but I beilieve it won several academy Awards as well and set all sorts of box office records at the time. I never saw what the big deal was.

Forrest Gump was also overrated.

Reservoir dogs - action but noo action, after the robbery the movie never moved away from the warehouse

Forrest Gump is definitely overrated, though most true film fans don't like it all that much.

The one I don't get it Rushmore. People talk about this movie like it's an all-time classic. I just don't get it. Thing is I loved Royal Tennenbaums and that didn't get half the credit.

I don't get the guys who are saying Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction is a bloody work of art...they'll be watching it in museums a thousand years from now.

I was so disappointed in it. So much critical acclaim (& a bull**** Oscar for Kim Basinger).

There was no suspense.The dialogue was mediocre. Only Spacey gave a good performance.
Yet, so many hailed it as a masterpiece. Must have been because it was somewhat of a Hollywood Insider" type of flick.

I hated The Matrix....Reeves is a bum & a half, the effects were overdone, & I couldn't stomach the way everyone was speaking.

Damn...that's errie! Youre right about the voice B-dog..I had never made that connection til you mentioned it. I liked Scarface OK but the very best part was when he just dipped his entire face down into the mountain of coke...when he looked up and that **** was all over his face :eek: priceless!
