Good fight the first one he took it on lateish notice and pulled out a draw, but was hurt on several occassions, in the re-match he dominated him for a round 7 stoppage

Actually Hopkins won the first fight and knocked down Mercardo twice, both of which weren't called by the incomptent ref. Hopkins easily took care of buisness in the second fight.
