Cotto can maybe knock him out and with the pressure Gatti puts on, he may be able to shock Cotto, but Cotto is a better fighter and logic says that he would win at least a comfortably scored decision

This one is a toss up for me at this very moment. In another year, with another couple fights under his belt I say Cotto. If they were to fight tomorrow night....I think Gatti may have a little to much ring savvy for the youngster, Cotto will be by far and away the better pro when it's all said and done.

gatti would be nothin more then a good difficult test for cotto

i love watching gatti, but i dont think he can beat any of the top guys and cotto looks like he's one of them....

That fight would be a ridiculous mismatch, Gatti has no chance vs. world-class fighters his size....let's get real people, Mickey Ward was a brave yet limited club-fighter, Gianluca Branco couldn't punch his way thru a wet paper bag, and Leonard Dorin was small as a lightweight and miniature at 140.... Gatti hasn't beaten a top notch fighter since his rematch with Patterson about 9 YEARS AGO!!! Yes, I'll still tune in to all of his fights, and he is the human highlight reel, but he's no world-class fighter.....end result: Cotto within 8 rounds.

It would be a great fight. I would like to see how would do. Gatti always has a chance but wiould mare than likely get beat down.

true ... gatti is one of my favorite fighters of all time, i'm not trying to see him throw away what remaining good health he has at the hands of cotto. i might like cotto a lot less if he kills gatti in a fight.

I would favor Cotto over Gatti. Better defense, better technique, bigger, stronger and a very accurate puncher as well. Cotto by late stoppage.

but at this point its a really stupid move for cotto, considering gatti is coming of a loss, and hes in a really good part of his prime

Gatti has a puncher's chance, and he has the mastermind Mcgirt in his corner so you never know. I honestly believe Gatti has a legitmiate chance at beating Cotto, but i doubt the fight will happen.

like i said if it does its a dumb move for cotto
