View Full Version : Wanna Leave the football team, but don't know how to tell the coach. Need Help!!!!!
-Nova- 09-02-2005, 06:15 PM My brother was class of either '00, or '01 I forgot. But each year he played on our high school football team, and was the star running back. My first day of practice, which was two days ago, when i was getting my helmet, the coaches saw the resemblance between me and my brother right away. The problem is I let my friends talk me into joining the team, and i did, knowing that i usually go to the boxing gym every day. At boxing, i never fought in an event yet, but i sparred a few times, and i'm ****in good. I go to boxing from 3:30 to 6:00, and football is from 3:00 to 5:00, so i gotta let one go. I ****in love everything about boxing, but i have no passion for football at all, so i wanna stop going. But if i tell my coach i don't wanna play anymore, he's gonna lecture me about what my brother would do and ****, and plus i don't even know how to tell him. Can anyone help me out.

Don't let him make you feel guilty...
Take boxing since u have a passion and live life without regrets...
just make sure not to be a 130-147 pounder in the pros...

What good does it do if you have no passion...........
If you're gonna do somethin for the money might as well become a doctor, a scientist, or a stock broker if that's the way u look at it.
nance 09-02-2005, 07:01 PM Just let him know that as great as he considered your brother,
You are NOT your brother and you really prefer a different sport.
Tell him that you don't have the passion for it and that will make you not as good as a player as your brother was. It's about the love of the game, in whatever you decide to do.
Do what you WANT. It's you that has to live with your decision.
