It'll be interesting how Showtime's attempt at stealing viewers via a tripleheader works.

When Tyson and Morales had PPVs just days apart, they both did pretty well, though. With no PPVs til the Byrd card mid November, I'm guessing people are willing to throw out some money even though DLH/Hopkins took 60 from them 2 weeks ago.

What's the deal with ESPN! No more Friday night fights! WTF!!! I was pissed when Tuesday night fights on USA went away, then Kellerman quit, no ESPN doesn't have anything scheduled. WTF. How is this sport supposed to showcase upcoming fighters.

I cant even fathom watching the Wlad fight over the Tito fight. Wlad IMO is washed up and hes fighting another bum. In the Tito fight we get to see the comback of an all time great vs a very competitive and interesting opponent. I guess I can understand just not wanting to pay 50 bucks but you cant compare the quality of the two fights.

ShoBox returns Oct 22. Which is a Friday, its new night. I don't know if they plan to go weekly against ESPN2 or if they'll stick with their twice a month schedule.

I'm with you bro. Its not just the pay, but the quality of fights. The expected hype just doesn't deliver. So its just the same as watching the regular weekend fights.

Far to many PPVs now. If they had purse fights, that would improve the sport. I will watch any two people fight. But I won't pay for any fight. Tito has always been one of my favorites to watch. I just cant twist my arm hard enough to shell out 50 for this. I paid for DLH vs Hopkins, If showtime didn't have their "free" card playing, I would have twisted harder. I hope the compitition is like this, it may make these major networks wake up.

If you like to see talented, quality fighters in a super-competitive fight...you'll watch the Showtime card to see OUMA-PHILLIPS, not Wlad-Williamson.

Tito-Mayorga, no matter what, is a super-intriguing & potentially explosive match.

I know one time Mayorga and Judah fought on the same DK card, he sold the right's (or whatever) to FSN and they replayed all of the bigger fight's on that card one Sun. at a time....Now I wonder what the chances are of him doing that again; but then again I dont think I want to wait that many mo's to see it. Tito-Joppy was replayed on HBO the following Friday night...without a live bout to support it.

Believe me, it will be replayed the following week. It's a big fight, & it's bewteen Latinos.

Of course, HBO will not let you now they intend to replay it.

Well - if you go to the HBO website, you see previews for OCt 2 (trinidad-mayorga, which also got a plug after the hopkins-dlh and throughout the broadcast), Nov 20 (WRight-Mosley 2), and Nov 27 (Barrera-Morales 3). But not Nov 13, which is going to be a King card (Byrd, Ruiz, Rahman, Holyfield)

So I'm guessing this Saturday's an HBO event with Lampley and Merchant, but the Nov 13 will have the King logo and announcers and lighting and graphics.

The last one that got sold to FSN was distributed through, and briefy advertised on HBO, but did not have Lampley and Merchant, or any HBO previews on the show.

So I really don't know, but all that leads me to believe that this Saturday is an HBO event - especially since they're replaying Trinidad and Mayorga fights on HBO2 this week.

but when theres 2 ppvs within the month
they say some **** bout how we've ordered over our limit and must pay b4 we can get the 2nd event
so i have to call talk with one of those dumb basterd operators at dish
and explain that i need them to charge the 2nd ppv anyways
or to charge the current bill to the credit card as is so i can order the new ppv
every fukin time they have to go and get their supervisor
im like wtf
they should give us a fukin free ppv
i order almost every major ppv
or atleast send me a hat
