He seems to make both Klits back up when he throws a punch from an angle, but he's not a banger, is he?
Why don't they just rush him if he's not offering back significant firepower?

people always underrate boxing power because theyve never been in a ring. even if a guy is lightfisted like byrd is, hes still a 200+ pound man and when he hits you in the face it may not knock you down but it definately stings enough to where you cant just walk through his punches.

they cant rush him because of his great defense and counterpunching

What's his KO rate?
Surely there must be some record of punch stats around, as in KPT (?) or whatever. Ivan Drago had it in Rocky IV, didn't he?
Here's a q - is the Byrd in the bottom 10% of world-class heavyweights for punching power? How was softer hitting - him or Ali?

ali is a harder puncher than byrd. i believe joe frazier compared getting hit by alis jab to getting hit by a brick in the face over and over. he rarely ever sat down on punches either but hes stopped tons of fighters and has a high stoppage rate. byrd is in the bottom of the current heavyweight division when it comes to punching power but like i said, hes still a 6'2 215 pound man

I think byrd and ali's punches were equally hard. They have alot of simularities, those two.

The Liston KO is open to question... I remember years later when watching the Foreman-Norton bout, one of Ali's tirades contained the line "... many I couldn't knock out - Sonny Liston - but, I'll tell you THIS..."
I just saw the edited highlights of Chris's fight with Wlad. In the eleventh he's talking outside of the ring while his corner walk up with the towel. Was he asking them to throw in the towel for him, or just goofing around? (and is the white woman biting her bottom lip Chris's wife?)

Ali def. hits harder than Byrd. BTW Byrd has more KO on his record than Ruiz.

I think Byrd can hit harder than he usually hits. I think he looks to win fights by decision. I guess he doesn't like stopping fighters..
I think if Byrd tried to hit as hard as possible, he wouldn't be able to carry out his startegy that generates his wins.. which is to dodge and dip and manuver to victory. I know that I would be intimidated and loose the will if every punch i threw only hit air :D
