It looks like Wright is the leading opponent according to primera hora. Don King is talking to Wright, Quartey & Taylor. The date has also been pushed to 3/19.

I believe he had better stay away from Wright. Its not necesarily that I think Wright would beat him (because Tito is in a different league than Mosley), its just that it is biggest risk/least gain.

I thought that Quartey was supposed to be fighting Vargas in his return fight. I'd rather see a Winky Wright vs. Trinidad. Taylor vs. Trinidad would be pretty tight too though, especially since Tito sr. was talking about how he was upset over Jermain saying that Tito would be an easy victim to his jab.

I would rather see Wright, Taylor or Sturm face Tito.

Why fight someone who hasn't fought in what 5 years?

No ****, if Quartey fights Tito what would be the point...someone should have told Tito that this was a megafight six, seven years ago and now its a joke...he would consider facing Quartey but not Oscar....Don Felix you loose some credibility here my man.

I would like to see Tito/STurm or Tito/Taylor...both guys would land a lot of jabs against him and someone sooner or later will outpoint Tito...we see if either of these two guys can handle Tito's nuclear missiles though?

I belive it's Don King making these decisions. I agree, it's a joke to even mention Quartey. I'd rather see Wright, Sturm or Taylor face Tito.

Tito will KO anybody not named Bernard Hopkins, it doesn't matter if its Sturm or Taylor or Oscar or Winky, they all fall in less than 8

I don't know. Mayorga was one tough SOB and he lasted 8. Winky will box for a while and run for the rest of the time so I see Tito winning a UD over him. Sturm, on the other hand, is not very mobile so I see Tito KOing him before the 9th.

In the end I think Winky Wright will get the fight with Tito and Sturm will end up fighting Jermain Taylor in the spring of next year-- it's simply a guess though.

Trinidad-Wright negotiations!
By Karl Freitag
"King has offered three million dollars, but that's not enough to make the fight when they're saying Trinidad is going to make ten million," promoter Gary Shaw told *********.com today. Shaw is representing WBC/WBA jr middleweight champion Winky Wright in negotiations with Don King Productions regarding a showdown with Felix Trinidad. "I know one thing about the Trinidads, they're very honorable people. One of the things that made the Trinidads so angry in Tito's whole career, they felt they were disrespected by Oscar with the money and the splits and everything else. I'm wondering if this is [just] King making the offer because I don't think the Trinidads would be that disrepectful for that kind of split agsinat the person that is perceived as the undisputed champion at 154 lbs." Shaw continued, "The reason these big fights don't get made is that the money is not always equitable and that's unfortunate because you do have guys out there like Tito, Winky, Shane and Oscar to all their credit, none of them have ducked anybody. They're all willing to fight anyone. So when you have guys like that who are wiling to fight anybody, those fights should get made. This is a fight that should be on pay-per-view. Winky the undisputed champion willing to move up against Tito Trinidad, probably the two best fighters right now at 154 and 160 next to Hopkins. Hopkins and Trinidad aren't going to get made, King and Hopkins are in litigation." Another fight that has been discussed is Trinidad vs ex-WBO champ Felix Sturm.

Winky's Shuns $3M Offer To Fight Trinidad!
By G. Leon

Wright Opens The Door For Trinidad Vs. Quartey or Taylor!

December 14, 2004 - Undisputed junior middleweight king, Ronald "Winky" Wright told **********.com it's going to take more than the $3M Don King Productions is currently offering for him to fight Felix Trinidad on March 12. Although Wright is still a promotional free agent, his legal team has given promoter Gary Shaw temporary authorization to negotiate this fight with DKP. Shaw told **********.com, "The Trinidad's are very honorable people, so I'm wondering if this is King making the offer because I don't think the Trinidad's would be that disrespectful for a $10M Trinidad, $3M Winky. This is the the undisputed junior middleweight champion we're talking about." If Team Wright opts against fighting Trinidad for $3M, this opens the door for Jermain Taylor and Ike Quartey, the other two names Don King has mentioned publicly to land the fight with Trinidad. Promoter Lou DiBella, who promotes BOTH Taylor and Quartey assured **********.com that neither of his fighter's would pass up such an offer from DKP.

I think Wright could possibly give Trinidad trouble. The keen, sharp defence of Wright, and a good solid jab would keep Trinidad at bay. Plus, everyone knows Trinidad uses his left hook way, way too much.
