I didnt want her to be upset, being away from home for the first time; of course I wanted her to adjust and be happy, etc. But, when she not only showed that she was just fine with it but was THRILLED, I was crushed. :( But its much better that way..I saw several kids that screamed and cried for their moms when they dropped them off and that kind of thing would rip my soul out. I hope your son totally takes to school like a champ. Just imagine all the 'stories' he'll have to tell after that first day.
