View Full Version : Fit of boxing gloves

I was just wondering how boxing gloves are supposed to fit. Are they supposed to be a snug fit with your fingers and thumb pretty much touching the end of the glove? Or, are they suppose to have a bit of room, like how you leave a bit of room for your toes in runners? Thanks in advance for your help.

i don't think there's a hard and fast rule on this but speaking for myself i like them to fit snug so they don't move around while punching.

i had fitting problems with my gloves before because my glove was actually a little too tight, my fingers werent properly curled into a fist, it was more like only the tips of my fingers curling. i was told to wait until i had worn them a little more, and after a while they kinda like stretched and shaped perfectly for my hand.
if ur glove is a little tight then i guess its a good thing, just use it on the bag a couple fo rounds and it should be fine

I would not recommend you to have any room in your glove to move around.

I like to have my gloves not super tight, but enough to get a good tight fist, but it's really how you want them, there is no right way

nug without the wraps, tight with them on so my fist feels solid.
