The post isn't stupid, though.. neils7147933 12-14-2004, 01:27 PM Ali returns the kickoff for sixty-five yards, but the Chicago 'D' holds him to a field goal. Then the Bears score a field goal. Ali gets cocky and says "I'm the greatest." Jim McMahon throws for seventeen touchdowns. Payton gets 300 yards. Does the Rush win the Arena Bowl? Ditka becomes owner for Chicago of Arena Football December 16, 2004 CHICAGO (Ticker) - NFL Hall of Famer and Chicago icon Mike Ditka is the latest to become an owner in the Arena Football League. Ditka on Thursday confirmed that he has joined a group which owns the Chicago Rush. "I love Arena Football and am excited to become an owner of the Rush," Ditka said. "I have been watching as the league has turned into the fastest-growing sport in the country. It's strong ownership group and national TV contract with NBC were big influences on my decision to become involved." As the Arena League's newest owner, Ditka joins a fraternity that includes Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway (Colorado) and music stars Jon Bon Jovi (Philadelphia) and Tim McGraw (Nashville). NFL owners Jerry Jones, Arthur Blank, Tom Benson, Pat Bowlen and Bud Adams also operate Arena League teams. A football analyst for ESPN, Ditka coached the Chicago Bears to a Super Bowl title and six division titles in 11 seasons. He also coached the New Orleans Saints from 1997-99. The first tight end inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Ditka played for the Bears, Philadelphia and Dallas and was elected to five Pro Bowls. "We are thrilled that Mike has become an owner," Rush managing partner Alan Levin said. "Mike represents football in Chicago, and we're looking forward to building another championship team in Chicago." Atwa_66 12-17-2004, 11:15 PM I would say Pele, not question. Gretsky was unbeleviable to hockey, ali was great to boxing. But those 2 sports had other good athletes, nothing to great has come out of soccer other than Pele.
