Atwa_66 12-13-2004, 09:08 PM I just bought some Everlast Handwraps, I know Everlast is top quality stuff, But are they as good as Mexican Handwraps? maxpayne 12-13-2004, 10:49 PM it depends on the user, mexican handwraps are a little bit elastic. how long are your everlast handwraps? Hunna 12-14-2004, 01:18 AM never heard of mexican wraps? what are they? .::|ULTIMATE|::. 12-14-2004, 01:40 AM I used to have some everlast handwraps but they were extremely short. I recently bought some cleto reyes hand wraps and they are hella kick ass I feel like i got a cast on my hands with them almost. cmason 12-14-2004, 06:40 AM mexican handwraps are more elasticated and mould around your fist better. i bought 2 pairs from balazs boxing and they are very good. also i put toilet paper over the knuckles before i wrap my hand for extra protection during bag work. i saw joe goosen do it once, it really works well. Atwa_66 12-14-2004, 05:13 PM Mine are 180' maxpayne 12-14-2004, 09:37 PM 180' should be long enough. abdiel2k3 12-14-2004, 09:52 PM i dont use handwrpas but then again my hands always hurt like a ***** lol boxer2k5 12-14-2004, 09:57 PM my handwraps look like a karate belt but thinner and its 9 feet long spinksjinx 12-15-2004, 08:54 AM Everlast is way to short, I had used some of those cleto reyes they are good stuff and feel very protected.... Atwa_66 12-15-2004, 10:52 AM Everlast is way to short, I had used some of those cleto reyes they are good stuff and feel very protected.... You think 180' is too short spinksjinx? spinksjinx 12-15-2004, 11:21 AM You think 180' is too short spinksjinx? No they should be suitable, The everlast wraps that I had was horrible..... elveiel 12-15-2004, 12:46 PM On the bags i use ringside super bag gloves and i dont feel the need to wrap my hands. Fighting/Sparring i wear gauze and tape. I think the other wraps are a waste of time, but if i had to choose one it would be the mexican. boxer2k5 12-15-2004, 04:17 PM liek i said mines are 9 feet long Atwa_66 12-16-2004, 04:03 PM I just read it, they are "Everlast Mexican Handwraps, 180'" But they still aren't genuine hand wraps. On a side note, for fights, what gloves should I get? I Know Everlast are great, but somebody mentioned another brand. I don't realy remember though elveiel 12-16-2004, 05:11 PM I just read it, they are "Everlast Mexican Handwraps, 180'" But they still aren't genuine hand wraps. On a side note, for fights, what gloves should I get? I Know Everlast are great, but somebody mentioned another brand. I don't realy remember though It depends what for - Bag gloves, sparring or fighting? i know a lot of guys who use the same type of gloves for everything but i use different for types for different things. If you do/dont wrap your hands for bag work you may find certain gloves better than others. For fighting - if your a puncher Reyes are good, but i dont think Everlast are a punchers gloves. For sparring i use Everlast because they prevent injury more than my reyes. Atwa_66 12-16-2004, 05:20 PM I have these 16 oz. gloves for Bagwork I'm getting 10 oz. gloves for sparring And 8 oz. Gloves for fighting...I think that should be good, Oh,and on my last post i said: "But they still aren't GENUINE HAND WRAPS" I meant "Geunine Mexican Hand Wraps" Because they are real wraps, just not mexican Sorry :D andreyd 01-20-2005, 01:04 PM what is this Mexican Handwraps ?
