Ruiz is a blight on boxing, one of the most boring fighters ever.

Shame on James Toney for not being clean enough to retire him.

The point of this thread is to figure out a good strategy, so the boxing world will only be cursed with one more John Ruiz fight.

Suggestion #1:

Whenever Ruiz causes a clinch (10,000 times in every fight!), his opponent should manuever himself away from the ref so as to get away with a dirty tactic, low blow or short elbow punch, or something. Make him hate his own boring tactic.

Suggestion #2:

Whenever Ruiz causes a clinch (10,000 times in every fight!),his opponent should do the "clinging vine", hang on him and make that slob support 2 body weights for several seconds. Do that sneakily a few times per round see if his knees buckle.

OR

Boycott any PPV card that has Ruiz on it. Even if there is another fight you want to see on the same card(very unlikely)

If there is a referee that will correctly keep Ruiz from trying to mount his opponent, any top 10 guy can destroy him.

no illegal amount of clinching allowed by the ref=

-nOne feels you are being to hard on Ruiz! At least he is able to maintain a good image outside of the ring. ;) Unlike some of the other scoundrels that have held world titles only to disgrace themselves and the sport itself by some of there disgraceful behaviour!
Later brother brologs.

I don't care how good he is outside the ring.

Inside the ring, he is still the worst ever in the history of the sport. I don't watch Ruiz because he's a good guy outside. And I never want to watch him ever.

By the way, I'm allergic to anyone named John Ruiz.

If I was fighting Ruiz every time he clinched and grabbed me I would spit on him. I would spit to the body, to the head...I would cover that mother****er in my spit.

this is a dumass arguement made by an honest to God dumass.

"at least he still looks good outside the ring!" uh, so the **** what? success is measured not by how your public image is. ruiz's public image is just as bad, if not worse, than anyone else's. every1 views ruiz as a clinching, boring, unskilled, black mark on the boxing world, boil on the ass of life.

as for suggestion:

1. put ME in the ring with ruiz. i'll straighten that ****sucker out for good!

2. get somebody who knows how to slip out or away from clinches.

3. get somebody who HAS A JAB.

4. put him in the ring vs valuev, VK, or peter and watch ruiz plummet to the canvas.

5. kill him and don king (im a sadist, what can i say?)

You obviosly dont understand the uniqueness of Tucker, he respects all Heavyweights and will rarely, very rarely ever put down one of these athletic monsters.

His defense of Ruiz is not necessarily an endorsement for Jonhnny rather an undying love for the division itself. When you put down a HW you put down the division, some folks are company men and Tucker is simply put a division man, HW division that is.

regardless, ruiz is an unrespectable HW. his boring style kills purses, bores crowds, never gives an honest performance, and the fact that he are forced to agree that he is a HW champion is one of the many reasons why boxing is so unrespected by the rest of the world.

jermain is next to starch RuizIf Rahman could not knock Ruiz out(and Rahman has huge punching power) then it would be impossible for little Jermain to do it!
Later brother brologs. P.S Ask Lewis how hard Rahman punches if you are not sure.

yes i agree, some people talk as though any guy from the street could step in and beat ruiz, but they forget who he has beat, i think he has the style to beat a lot of the bigger natural heavyweights.

promote to set up a fight with an odorful body fighter (he can use vinegar , fish , feces ,or even his own smell) so that everytime ruiz clinch , he will get dizzy smelling the awfulness odor of his opponent and poof one punch ko.

Beg Tyson to come back one more time and fight Ruiz , by the 2nd round Tyson may have broken his arm, bit him, head butted him and hell he may even KO him with a clean punch but Tyson would not stand for all that hugging he never did thats one credit you can give him.
