I don't like watching UFC. Pride FC has fighters from all over the world compete. Everyone knows that the Pride FC championship means so much more than the UFC championship. Now that there are less former wrestlers in Pride its even better. I like the wrestlers fighting in Pride cause it always ended being a great knockout or something like that.
Actually, the UFC isn't as far behind PRIDE as you think. In the only fight between UFC and PRIDE former heavyweight champions, the PRIDE fighter won a close decison in which most people felt was given to him because the fight was in PRIDE.

I know this because I watched that fight with a lot of the posters here and everyone of them groaned when the decison was read.

Also, if things keep going the way they are, the UFC will soon be greater than PRIDE. Dispite what people on message boards like this like to think, the hardcore MMA fan isn't the most important thing in the world anymore. The UFC is growing A LOT faster than PRIDE, espically since PRIDE is already as big as it is now.

The huge market in the USA will never buy into PRIDE the way they are starting to buy into the UFC. Sorry, not gonna happen. This is the market thats used to paying 55$ for a boxing PPV and seeing two boring decisons. In the UFC they are going to see at least 6 fights, most of them NOT going to decison for about 30$. Thats going to make them salivate. The UFC is taking more and more market share from boxing and PRIDE simply doesn't have the ability to tap into that market.

If the UFC keeps growing like it is, it WILL surplant boxing as a premeir combat sport in America. When that happens, it will leave PRIDE in the rearview mirror.
