they were both knocked down by left hooks in the 6th round..and quartey went down again in the 12th round.. 12 th round was one of the most memorable rounds of dlh's career

Your thinking about his fight against Narcisco Valenzuela...

He got KD'd in the first round but came back to win by KO in 1..

De La Hoya is one tough S.O.B that everyone tries to put down, he ,fights everybody yet people dont want to give Oscar credit, Gatti did not knock down Oscar,

He was also knockdown against Campanella early in his career.

I saw the Gattie/De La Hoya fight a couple months back. The ref didn't count it as a knockdown, as a matter of fact the ref halted the action for a sec. as Oscar recovered. Looks like a down to me, just wasn't counted as one.

Ask yourself would it have changed the outcome of the fight?

Def. not, Oscar was on a whole other level than Gatti in that fight. Gatti was just getting punished.

That was Gattis worst fight ever, thats not saying alot cause Gatti isnt a good fighter, hes overated as hell as seen by losing fights to Ivan Robinson(twice), Angel Manfredy, Mickey Ward and by losing so horribly to Floyd. Gatti sucks as ive been saying for years now.
