Anyway, the pic is of Wabbled DLH and his glove it touching the canvas.
Gatti is shown followed of his right hook
i think the DLH vargas fight DLH was a kocked down
in the first round
his hand touched the canvas

.::EnRiQuE::. 08-16-2005, 01:05 AM ooo i thought DLH was down early then Quartey was KD later on in the fight like in the 10th 11th or 12th
Zab Super Judah 08-16-2005, 01:29 AM ooo i thought DLH was down early then Quartey was KD later on in the fight like in the 10th 11th or 12th
they were both knocked down by left hooks in the 6th round..and quartey went down again in the 12th round.. 12 th round was one of the most memorable rounds of dlh's career
.::EnRiQuE::. 08-16-2005, 01:43 AM so i was kinda right
confederate_ghost_1861 08-16-2005, 01:55 AM Oscar has been droped by no names in his early fights.
xcaret 08-16-2005, 03:31 AM no, that was a slip i believe, i saw the clip again a few days ago...definetly not a knockdown
Tha Greatest 08-16-2005, 03:41 AM Oscar has been droped by no names in his early fights.
Your thinking about his fight against Narcisco Valenzuela...
He got KD'd in the first round but came back to win by KO in 1..
Tha_Greatest 08-16-2005, 04:22 AM De La Hoya is one tough S.O.B that everyone tries to put down, he ,fights everybody yet people dont want to give Oscar credit, Gatti did not knock down Oscar,

He was also knockdown against Campanella early in his career.
FrankJack 08-16-2005, 10:33 AM I saw the Gattie/De La Hoya fight a couple months back. The ref didn't count it as a knockdown, as a matter of fact the ref halted the action for a sec. as Oscar recovered. Looks like a down to me, just wasn't counted as one.
jack_the_rippuh 08-16-2005, 10:43 AM Ask yourself would it have changed the outcome of the fight?
FrankJack 08-16-2005, 11:18 AM Def. not, Oscar was on a whole other level than Gatti in that fight. Gatti was just getting punished.

That was Gattis worst fight ever, thats not saying alot cause Gatti isnt a good fighter, hes overated as hell as seen by losing fights to Ivan Robinson(twice), Angel Manfredy, Mickey Ward and by losing so horribly to Floyd. Gatti sucks as ive been saying for years now.
there was a knocked down against vargas
