How great is that! that would be a damn goood marketing plan.

Golden boy good looks, clean cut, goody two shoes doesnt, drink or smoke versus

El matador the villan **** talking brawler who just doesnt give a **** and will take your best punch!

Who else thinks this would be a damn good money making fight?

Trinidad fans who dislike the Golden Boy (about 95%) would say that he is fighting Trinidad's leftovers.

hell yes i'd rather see a dlh/mayorga fight over a dlh/vargas.

but wouldnt a vargas matchup be a safer less dangerous big money fight for dlh?

hope vargas looses next fight.but i dont think so.

But its the truth; like Vargas, Campas, etc...

The best comeback (and farewell) fight for Oscar is a rematch with Tito...

Would Trinidad come out of retirement for a De La Hoya fight?

i dont think he would , cuz the same thing would happen like the last time they fought but this time oscar will not stop fighting. tito knows that he gonna stay home and be happy with his only good but tainted victory ;)

i duno if that would b a good cumbak fight tho. hes been inactive and he's not 2 exciting as a fighter right now... he needs 2 fight at least 1 chump b4 so he could knock him out lol and make him look a lil good

Mayorga is going to brawl, its going to be insane. As long as he doesn't stick his head out like he did to Trinidad it should be great.

Oscar is afraud, he fought Trinidad left overs and started his career at Super Feather where if he started it at Welterweight he wouldnt of lasted so long.

No TITO was offered 20 million by oscar and he even turned it down! Tito doesnt wanna fight oscar if he wanted 20 million he would have fought him. I dont get tito sometimes, he should have fought oscar over winky but he didnt! In my opinion that is a ***** move on titos behalf be a man and give oscar a ****ing rematch.

2001 Bernard Hopkins
2000 Fernando Vargas
1994 Hector Camacho

1999 Whitaker

DLH-
Campas 2003

Why did Bernard and Winky needed a blue print to beat a so called "one-dimensional" fighter?

Nope u are wrong...

Don King, Trinidad's promoter, responded to a cry for a rematch by De La Hoya by saying, "Anytime, anywhere. Just reverse the purses and put Bob Arum's (De La Hoya's promoter’s) name where my name was on the first contract and it’s done. That's only fair." When Arum balked at this proposal and fighting at a “catch” weight between 147 and 154 pounds (and De La Hoya didn’t show at a scheduled meeting in New York City), King and Trinidad decided to move on. De La Hoya may have lost forever his only chance to avenge his first loss, not to mention an attempt to improve his standing in the annals of boxing history.

As Vargas will probably loose to Mayorga, Ricardo would be an easier fight for Oscar...

Mayorga is just too much of a Target for DLH's speed and skill.
Easy TKO!

But in any case, this should be a good match-up. DLH should fight the winner of Vargas / Mayorga.

BTW, with the new job, I haven't been following the sport in detail in the last 2 weeks. What's going on I hear the fight is off. Is that so?

Plain and simple Tito is a big name but he aint bigger then DE LA HOYA! so that has got to be ridiculous oscar would put more butts in seats! and oscar was willing to put 20 million up you actually believe DON KING! ahhaha come on man look at all those interviews oscar was chasing tito, he invited him to dinner! offered him 20 or 30 millions but tito refused. Tito is one of my favorite fighters but I am seriously mad at him! seriously thinking he deserves more money then de la hoya is ridiculous they were gonna get similar purses! oscar 25 million and tito 15 to 20 million! why would tito think he deserve to get paid more when he doesnt have the appeal to the masses as oscar?

I think Tito -vs- DLH will happen. Theres alot of money there..Tito with a new trainer would be something to watch. Some one that can give him some good advice in the ring. Tito is still strong and young and at 154lbs I think he will give DLH all he can handle. But he needs a good trainer. His pops dont have it anymore, he didnt know what to tell him in the Winky fight.

What a stupid suggestion! DLH is finished. He's shot. Kaput! Only idiot fans would like see him attempt a comeback. He can only get very hurt from now on. If he fights again, I will then know that he has **** for brains!

you have no concept of finance &/or how a promotion works....

this is a PERFECT comeback opponent for Oscar, Mayorga would get completely sliced to pieces, & Oscar could get one of his belts back, and all parties would make a *****load of $$$$$ with the PPV sales

PERFECT suggestion by the author of this thread, KUDOS!
