i see his fight against dazzo williams and i thought he was excellent.i havnt seen any other fights of his......is he part of the up and coming british fighters like ricky and amir?do you think he will make it?

I like Nicky Cook... I think he has a lot of potential. He has become the British, Commonwealth, and European champion with relitive ease, so I definatly think there's a future for him on the World stage.

Yeah he's a good boxer with a decent punch, there was talk of him maybe fighting Chris John who holds some sort of belt I think, haven't seen John so I don't know how Cook would go there, one thing that could cause him problems is he cuts quite easily but that didn't stop Hatton goin places so apart from that he's a pretty good prospect.

he'd beat harrison in 6 months i believe, give him two or three defences of the euro belt against decent euro fighters then i think he'l contest a major world title, he works hard, game, good dig up and downstairs, can be a touch dirty too, like barry ses he does mark up easy but sometimes its a problem sometimes not, i hope he does well

Nicky Cook could beat Scott Harrison... I kind of see Scott Harrison as there for the taking... Scott Harrison is very one-dimensional.

well the haarisson against polo was awful so fingers crossed......chris john is mandatory challenger for wba belt according to *********! hopefully will move him up in the rankings if he fights and beats him. nickys rankd 3rd wbc and 4th wbo so looking ok.

A good boxer who can fight as well will always give Harrison problems it's just a matter of choosing to box or fight at the right times, he doesn't like the body shots(Who does but you know what I mean!)so that's something Cook could definitely take advantage of and even though they're close in age, Cook is the fresher guy on the way up and I don't know but I think we've probably seen the best of Harrison who has had some hard fights so if I was Cook I'd defend my European title a couple of times against solid opposition then look for a world title but as we speak I'd make Harrison the favorite simply because we've yet to see Cook perform at a higher level(If he can reproduce the form he showed against Dazzo at a higher level then he's sorted.)

Nicky Cook best fighter in England without doubt. Rate him very highly wished he taken the fight against Rocky Juraez though, but if u not in shape does not make sense

people forget that harrison has devastating power and can take a few aswell

I think the polo fight was a bit iffy but the punches landed from both fighters were almost the exact same amount and the cut on harrisons eye deffo was giving him trouble from the 1st round

If there was a rematch I think SH would do to VP what he did to medina in the rematch and clear his name.

I think SH would beat up Chi and perhaps shock the nation by beating Marquez by KO

i am however not a huge fan of scott harrison, standing on pool tables out of your head on various stuff, while naked and lighting cigars with ten pound notes, isnt the behaviour of a likable man.

nor is the robbery that was his "draw" vs polo, who incidentally was outclassed by marquez so how you think scott beats marquz is totally beyond me.

:D He's not anti-scottish at all m8, most of us have certain boxers we like or don't like and it just so happens that some people don't like Harrison or his attitude, I don't like Junior Witter but that doesn't make me anti-English! that's life, the guys just being realistic, Harrison would get his head boxed off by Marquez, Chi he may beat but style wise Marquez is all wrong for him :boxing:

I thought i'd have been started by now! but as it's an MOD job they have to make sure I get security clearance first so they have to check all my references etc.(It's only stripping down the cabins of a vessell ffs what am I goin to tell any1!) I was told I would maybe have gotten a start yesterday but haven't heard anything yet so fingers crossed for the beginning of next week at the latest, I really need that bread :D

No offence intended guys its just usually on other sites i hear alot of haggis and kilt jokes by alot of ignorant posters and I uppose my post came across like that so im orry and hope to do some good debates in the future with you guys.

I know medina 1 and polo were dodgy but i honestly think that scot was genuinely ill for medina 1 and that polo might just have scraped it but the stats were same punches landed after the fight and SH did only have vision from 1 eye after rnd 1.

I suspect if he fought polo again it would be a totally different fight.

It's the long rangy boxers Scott can't handle, I'd give Harrison the benefit of the doubt for the first Medina fight as he really did look terrible but he struggled a bit in the 2nd fight as well after that great start & was cut pretty bad if I remember right, Polo beat him imo, I thought he was looking very dodgy in the later rounds of that one. As I've said before i'll support the guy and want him to win cos he's our only world champ but that doesn't mean I think he'll win. Chi is the only other top guy i'd give him a chance of beating because stylewise he's too flat footed and robotic for Marquez & Pacman being a southpaw who hits hard would give Scott nightmares as well. Hopefully Joan Guzman wins his eliminator and gets a chance at Harrison soon as that would be a great fight to watch for us :boxing:

Yep good shout m8 but what I cant seem to understand is that he used to actually be a very handy boxer yet he seems to go for the flat footed approach now and try to use power and strength alone.

The Patterson fight is a good example of his boxing skills, Harrison really surprised me as I wasn't expecting much from him but he was excellent that night, the combinations were flowing and he looked the business but he just looks so lumbering sometimes, maybe hearing everyone call him this big, strong featherweight who's huge for the weight has encouraged him to take a more aggressive approach, I don't know, but that's why I say maybe we've seen the best of Harrison, since about 2000 he's had some sort of title fight goin on so he's not had that many easy fights, even before he won the WBO title fights like Odumasi were hard struggles(Kebede is the obvious exception!)so we'll see how he looks in October though I hope they don't bring in some dud for him to just batter :boxing:
