As I stated in all my earlier posts I predicted Vitali would win in the middle rounds. I felt Williams was coming in too heavy when he should have come in lighter for better movement, and I made some disparaging remarks about his weight(in joking of course). Now saying that I must say that in losing, Danny Williams earned a lot of respect from people including myself last night. There is no shame in his performance he just loss to the better man last night. He entered the ring and risked his life fighting with a lot of heart. This you can see from the fact in round 8, he kept getting up after being knocked down, and HE STILL WANTED TO FIGHT when the ref stopped the fight. He could have chose to stay down after the first knock down in round 1 like so many others have in the past just to get a payday, but no- Danny Williams lifted himself off that canvas and fought his fukin heart out. In my opinion Danny Williams should not retire because he still has a lot to offer, remember there are two other champions out there as well that he can challenge. Danny Williams proved the critics wrong last night and showed the whole world that he is not a quitter and a bum. Mr. Williams my hat goes off to you. Peace. :)

I agree with this post.
I would love to see Danny against Hugger and Byrd
DW definitely has heart :)

Still searching the interet trying to find it for download :(
I happen to be in the UK and couldn't find it to watch last night :(

I agree with your post. After Joppy bent over and allowed Taylor to sodimize him like a little prison pansey, it was refreshing to see a man getting his ass absolutely stomped in every conceivable way still swinging at the end. He didn't run...of course maybe that was because he couldn't, but, hey, whose counting?
Williams of course needs to be ridiculed for coming in as a total fat ass for the biggest fight of his life (6'2, 270 and people are talking about his "movement"). He didnt' have to pull an Kirk Johnson.
But he did try and he didn't break out in tears this time and that was refreshing to see.
I think, however, he is terribly ordinary. He got WAY overhyped as something he did not have the discipline or the talent to be- a upper class prize figher. There were a lot of people absolutely convinced that he was going to whip Vitali. That's kind of surprising.
So I agree with a lot of what you say (even though I'm a bit more critical of Mt. Williams) and respect all your opinions, whether I agree with or not.
i would have done what DW did...
cash in on the fame, score the Huge pay day.
why not?

Four; Sprott (2nd fight, highlights only), Sinan Sam, Tyson, and Klitschk. What's your point?
