hi,
what factors affect metabolism/what makes ur metabolism good or bad?

and how can it be INCREASED or DEACREASED?

Not eating breakfast makes your metabolism worse(or at least not eating an hour after you wake up)

I think eating 6 small meals a day makes your metabolism better..like for example, by small meals i mean: yogurt and granola, oatmeal, fruit...that kind of stuff.. Eating more in small quantities is better than Eating less in large quantities. So ive heard

drinking green tea 3 times a day raises ur metabolism by 3%. so think if u burn 2000 cal/day w/o exercise, with tea u burn 60 more cals. add that up its counts for a lot.

cheers, atm my metabolism is good, but thats the prob cuz i want to put on weight and i burn bout 3-4 pounds when im asleep plus i do eat breakfast and quite alot int he mornings.

any1 else...?

added muscle mass increases your resting metabolism rate.

You can't equate the weightloss during the night to calories burned. 3-4 pounds seems a little high but 2 pounds is perfecly normal. Of course this doesn't mean that burning 7000 cals per night is normal. Most of the weight discrepancy is fluid loss.

well i weight myself before i go to bed, just out of interest and again the next morning and like bout 2-4 pounds lighter.
most prolly is liquid loss tho , cheers

looks like u need a decree just to uderstand the first site :eek:
