Tyson by KO within the first few rounds. Too much aggression and handspeed. I feel that Tyson wouldn't have much trouble finding Vitali and while Vitali has a good chin, it isn't indestructible; he WAS hurt several times by Lewis. Lewis and Tyson were about equal in terms of power, except that Tyson was much, much quicker.

However, his overwhelming strength advantage (if he was able to push away 270 lb Williams imagine how he would manhandle 215 lb prime Tyson)and his reach need to be taken into consideration here. Could he possibly keep Tyson at bay long enough for Mike to become frustrated and lose his composure?

Vitaliy TKO8 Tyson ala Tyson's first loss.

Vitaliy is technically a better boxer than Tyson and has a much better chin, heart, and ring intelligence.

Prime tyson at 5.10 and about 220lbs against VK at 6.8 and 250lbs. 30lbs and 10 inches is a big difference.

If Vk could keep him at bay and hold him when he gets on the inside and bend over him like LL, Tyson would be out og gas by the 5th and VK would start to pick him apart, VK by late ko ore tko.

Pretty similar to the Tyson-Lewis fight.
VK is smart in the ring.

Tyson breaks Klit down....takes him out in 6 or 7 rounds.

Tyson would not blow VK out. He deserves more credit than that. Vitali's style would pose many problems for Tyson. Tyson always had a little trouble with the taller guys. I think VK would be able to fend off prime Mike for 5 or 6 rounds. I would say tko around 7 for Tyson. If we are talking 1988 Tyson. Tyson now would be destroyed by VK.

Prime tyson made a living out of penetrating defenses, even under fatigue.

TYSON TKO 5th or 6th

Mike Tyson would win by KO within 4 rounds. In Tysons prime there was never a man alive who could have taken him. Watch the tape of Tyson and Spinks, and then tell me what you think

its funny how people always put down vitali..if buster douglas could knock out tyson then vitali would even faster..and dont give me this tyson wasnt in his prime when he fought douglas..he was 24 no other fighter in boxing was washed up at 24 but tyson right?and dont give me this well he partied to much so thats the reason he was ko'd because douglas just lost his mom a few weeks before the fight so i am sure he wasnt right mentally either and yet he beat tyson all across the ring.and vitali is stronger he hits harder and has the better chin.but some how tyson could knock vitali out in 2 rounds?you evidently know nothing about boxing.the first big punch that vitali landed would of won the fight.and i dont mean knocked tyson down or out.but if you hit tyson and he knows your not going to be afraid of him you pretty much won the fight.vitali in 5 or before if he wants too

When Tyson lost to Douglas he had recently fired Kevin Rooney, his long time trainer. Afer doing this Tyson lost all head movement, didn't throw combinations, and tried to win with one big punch. If Tyson stayed with Rooney he would have destroyed Douglas within 4 round, and yes a prime Tyson would destruct Vitali within 2

Normally I have nothing good to say about Tyson and I think he's vastly overrated but he would destroy Vitali. Too quick, too powerful, and unlike Sanders and Williams who came straight in, Mike used angles. He was much more skilled than Vitali and I don't think his lack of heart would even come into play here. That's how outclassed the mediocre Vitali would be.

A prime Tyson would be too much for Vitali to handle. Ko within the first five rounds.

Who wins???
Tyson in 3. His hand speed and puching power would be way to much for a stand-up boxer like Vitali. That guy hardly moves, Tyson just wouldn't be able to miss !!

somebody just dont understand what PRIME mean. tyson would win by ko or if vk can survive all attack from tyson he would be half dead
by round 12. but i think vk would land some good punches(if he survive round 1 and 2) but not enough to win or frustrate tyson, its more about tyson´s heart, bigger heart = vk got ko or bad beaten.

tyson would need to KO vitali early or he wouldn't win at all, i think vitali would make his massive physical advantage pay, clinch early on and sapp the power from mike, and then unload with his heavy right hand, and KO mike late on

A prime Tyson(when he fought Berbick) would IMO beat most heavyweights then and now.(exception Ali of course) And Vitali would be no different. Tyson by TKO 5. No way Vitali could get away with his lack of defensive and "throw caution to wind" slugg feast fighting style.

A prime Tyson would have way too much hand speed for vitali.
Tyson ko 6

Tyson would rip Vitali apart. Prime Tyson was on par with some of the greatest champs ever. Vitali.....Not so much

I agree. Vitali would've been petrified like everyone else. At the height of his powers without anyone showing he could be handled ... Vit would have been caught trying to stay away and KTFO.

Tyson always had troulbe with taller guys, Holmes is tall, Bruno is tall, alot of his opponents were tall. Almost all of them were taller than him. The only tall opponent he ever had trouble with is Lennox Lewis. Anyway Vitali would most likely win by KO or TKO round 9. But there is always a chance Tyson outspeeds him and starts to land big shots and takes Vitali out early. Tyson might have a good chance to get inside on Vitali since Vitali's jab is only decent not great. The way you beat Tyson is you hit him while his planting his foot to throw so you keep him off balance and unable to throw the huge power shots and combos, Vitali would probably be smart enough and brave enough to do that.

Tysonistas would like to believe that somehow at age 23 Mike's
skills quite suddenly declined to a shadow of what they'd been only months earlier, never to return.

The fact is that someone exploited all of the weaknesses that Tyson had in the ring and proved that Tyson was a good but limited heavyweight who could be dominated and KTFO.

Tyson was underprepared in Tokyo, but he was still the fighter he was a few months earlier in his fine KO of Williams.
He just had no answers for a big, tall heavyweight with an excellent stiff jab and top boxing abilities.

A prime Vitali would destroy Tyson .
