Two broken hands for Vitali?
Klitschko routs game Williams

source: boxongtalk.net,

By Scott Shaffer

December 12, 2004 - Vitali Klitschko may need to look for a new nickname after retaining the WBC heavyweight championship against Danny Williams by eight-round knockout in Las Vegas on Saturday. Introduced as "Dr. Ironfist", Klitschko was taken to a local hospital with two injured and apparently broken hands. Nevada Athletic Commissioner Marc Ratner also told ********** that Danny Williams is headed to the same hospital for a precautionary CAT scan.

TWO broken hands . . . . that means he'll be needing to rest those hands longer than usual . . . . another injury.

I hope nothing bad happenned.

A similar situation had occured after the Sanders fight.

Vitaliy was punching so hard that his hands got all swelled up, and that required medical intervention.

I hope it is just precautionary this time, but who knows.

I HOPE EVERYTHING WILL BE GOOD.

I think Vitali just said that in the interview to emphasize the fact that Danny took soo many punches...in my opinion

I'll believe he broke both his hands, he used them to f*ck up Dannyboy's face all night. It was a bad strategy for Williams, after VItali popped him in the first he seemed content to stay at a distance and let Klitchko hammer him.

I read X-rays were made of his swollen hands. So might not be too bad.....

.....I was worried about his hand coming in and that is not good news if they are broken. He said right after the fight that his hands were hurt. He needs to fight some guys with mushy heads instead of rock hard carniums like Sanders and Williams.

I agree, I don't think most heavyweights would last as long as Williams and Sanders' did. I don't remeber hearing about him breaking his hands against Johnson.

Vitaly has the best doctors and they will repair his hands and get him ready for his next fight.

I would like to see him fight again in the spring, perhaps as early as march.
