I have had quite a few in my lifetime. Actually so many i cant really name all of them. But some that stood out included the old Sonic and Mario games. The whole GTA series right from the very start. A couple of weird internet games.
Stuff like that. What are your choices?

Wow i havent played any of those other than Baldurs Gate which was OK.

Oh you just reminded me of Dungeon Keeper. That game was ultra addicitve.

Yeah you used to be able to play over their server with boatloads of people. The server was called WormNet. The online play was 1000x better than the normal game (which was still pretty fun though). That was the only PC game I was ever addicted to.

Now that was a good game of its time, but not addictive.
Also it got superceded by a load of other games namely, Rise of nations, Total Annihilation, Red Alert 2 and so on...

I don't play anymore to be honest. I was better than 50% of the b.net population, i.e. comp stompers and money mappers, but... I don't have the fire for it anymore. Stop by public chat kj and try to find iD.Insane sometime. He's a really good protoss player.

Halo 2 isn't a PC game (computer = PC, not console), and Halo PC sucked a huge nut. The only thing good was the addition of a few weapons, but that wasn't that big of a deal, either.
Halo was okay but Id rather play an FPS on the PC. Halo2 seems more of the same ole same ole way overhyped.
Halo 2 is incredibly complex. It has a simple basis, but when you really start getting into it, the game is incredibly balanced. Every weapon in the game has something to counter it. There is only one really major imbalance that I know of, and you actually have to be fairly decent, and incredibly quick, to pull it off right. I'm not going to mention it, so it doesn't get used by a lot of people. But, an example would be that the sword is effectively countered by the shotty. The rocket is countered by everything, pretty much, if you're not retarded (i.e. you jump once you see the shot [depending on distance you might jump to a different spot, but always jump out of the way, or over it], which normally will save you for long enough to get your third and forth shots into the face of the opponent).
At any rate, it's a pretty complex game when you look at the deeper levels of it.
All games are the "same old same old," if you look at only the shell of it. When you begin to become competitive is when it takes true form. Starcraft, for example, looks like a game where you just build guys and throw them at each other; but what you don't see is all the micro (unit control), and macro (econ control) going on, and the 200+ actions per minute that are happening. You also can't see the real strategy and genius behind some of the moves that guys pull off.

It's absolutely impossible to say what game is better than which due to them not being the same genre.
That being said, CS sucks. I'd much rather play UT or Quake.

Yeah, I toyed with it some, but... UT owned it hardcore. Not UT2k3 or anything, old UT. Quake 3 Arena was probably the best Quake though.
CS is okay, just not my style. I like semi-realism, but not as far as CS goes. Halo 2 is my game, though.

LMFAO, I was ****ing addicted to that game for a ****in long time, thank god I snapped the disc it was ****in ruining my life. Now I got it again, but I never play it , lol. I was pretty damn good though, best looking guy on bw I bet lol.

I used to think I was good, then I found out people played this **** for money, big time money too. I suck in comparison to any of the top 5000 players. Lol, I'm pretty decent on Bnet. I was exposed to this game, I didn't play money maps and ****. Well on bnet I am considered good people play this **** for pro and **** like [pG] clan and ****...if u no what wgtour is i got to c0.

-Jay- 01-09-2006, 03:59 AM When the first GTA came out, I went nuts. I loved car chases when I was a kid, especially when Police were involved. I used to love robbin cars on any game, and loved it even more when the busys were involved. (Being scouse I swear I have never robbed a car.)
But then GTA 3 came out, I did a gazillion paper rounds to save up for a PS2 and GTA 3. I could spend hours just goin on Police chases not caring about the missions at all.

You run your own movie studio. It's a sim game, by the maker of Black & White. You start in the 1920s and go until now progressing, new technology coming out, etc. Not a very easy game to get good at, I can tell, but when I do get good at it, the satisfaction will be very good.
I highly recommend the game to anybody who likes sim based games or who really likes the movie business. Yesterday was the first time I finally got the game out of the box and played it any. 12-13 hours later (no exaggeration), I went to sleep.

ya, icewind, i had a buddy in university who spent ALL his free time playing icewind, that guy graduated with the lowest GPA possible but he now has a waaay better paying job that me, guess i should have spent all my time playing icewind

I only beat Police Quest III. That game was awesome, though. I wish they made games like that still.
Also, just so everyone knows, c0 is NOT a good ranking at all. It's better than newb, but not that good.
