you have to protect yourself at all times if the situation would have been reversed the conversation would "lacy is overrated he was knocked down by reid". lacy didnt even hear the referee or look at him if youve seen it again. reid did some dirty stuff before and after that and he was just ahuge ass ***, not even giving lacy respect after he just beat the living **** out of him for 7 rounds.

Exactly what happened in Gatti vs Mayweather. Ref calls break but then Mayweather knocks Gatti down and the ref starts giving him a count.

That knockdown was bull****, but I have no sympathy for Reid, you saw that ridiculous behind the back of the head punch in the first round.

Reid pulled a lot of dirty sht. like the one when he spun Lacy and skimmed the top of his head, and then raised his gloves like he didn't do anything. You know Reid was going to get knocked out in that round or in any other round. Lacy was right in front of him stalking throwing bombs, and Reid was leaning fowards with his head plus he has no legs and no footwork.

The fight is worth watching. Did somebody download it and would like to send it to me through AOL IM? I will donate some points for it.

Also, Reid headbutted Lacy, the ref was about to break it up and Reid was looking at the ref when he got popped. Good...

That shot was terrible BUT if your going to use the head then expect something back.

If there was no head butt then Lacy would have been a complete idiot, but because Reid was being dirty then its OK, i respect Lacy more for not taking that sort of **** from Reid.

look at the replay on the trip, it was done purposley. He put his foot behind Lacy's and pushed him, to me it looked very obvious.

I took that as he'd placed Lacy in a position where he could unload... then got pissed off that he was facing the wrong way. So he instinctively let one go, realised and put his hands up to show he'd stopped.

That's how I saw it... I guess we'll never know unless we get in Reid's head.

Yeah the problem with Reid is that his handspeed is as if he's got weights on them. If he wants to continue fighting he has to develop footwork at least.

I am the same poster. Its like the addage goes, "Play ***** Get ****ed". If you make thread after thread trying to discredit a legitimate victory, someone might enter and say differently.

Personally I don't think Reid was even hurt from the punch on the break, I think he went down in hopes of getting the ref to take a point or DQ Lacy.

The fight was a complete joke, and I blame Reid for starting the madness.....but Lacy and the ref continued the BS through the fight as well.

Lacy hit Reid really low early and rather than telling Reid he has up to 5 minutes to get his "junk" back in place, the ref proceeds to ask Reid over and over, "are you ready". Get off the guys ass he just got plowed in the jewels.


Also, Lacy threw like 4 huge shots at Reid after the bell in like the 6th or 7th round, why wasn't he at least warned? Oh because it was so loud he couldn't hear? Then why did Reid stop punching?


Anyway, Lacy tore the ****ing guy up but the fight was a total shame to watch. I think Lacy has alot of passion to be the best but he's lacking some intangibles in the ring. If he goes to fight Joe overseas, he might as well kiss his belt goodbye because they will be as partial to Joe as the ref was to Lacy in Florida.


BTW, I really felt that Reid was never really really hurt in the fight. He got hit with some huge shots and went down more to take a breather than because he was really ****ed up. That guy has an iron chin, but mught be the cheapest fighter I've seen in several years. Total meatball!

As for his eroded skills, remember he's old. (career-age).
