Sugar Ray Leonard is my dad's favorite fighter of all time.

It appears your father is a very interesting character.

The apple fell waaaaay to far from the tree.

nah, I'm just kidding.

So your dad is into boxers and you're more into brawlers?

That's weird cuz my dad liked Sugar Ray too, he also liked Thomas Hearns - he met Thomas Hearns at Fort Lauderdale airport.

Mine loved Frasier and he always tells me how he thought ali was gonna get killed whenever someone landed a really clean shot on him. Well he admits he was way off on his assesment of ali.

Good question memorex your going to the root of all things.

My father had a couple he liked but i remember 1 time he said Tommy Hearns was a bad ass ******.:D he respected JCC but I dont think he liked him, he hated Duran for saying in an interview once"NOBODY HAS EVER KO ED ME" when Hearns had knocked his ass out already .Jose Luis Ramirez he talked about a lot in my opinion he was the most under rated fighter ever.He liked Johnny Tapia alot he said he had a lot of heart.
All my uncles where on the Chaves bandwagon as well as I, but my favorite at the moment is Jose Luis Castillo. He is the only man alive to ever really beat the guy who is #1 p4p.Classic Mexican fighter, comes to fight no para hacerse PENDEJO! tough SOB and very humble, now he has to take care of unfinished business in October.

His current favorite is James Toney.

My father was a true fight fan and a former fighter himself so for him he knew that there were fighters who were pound for pound the best boxers of their era's; for Heavyweights its the Marciano vs Ali vs Tyson question as to who would win the individual fight amongst them and then there's the Hagler, Duran, Hearns, Leonard etc... Super Fight glory of days of modern "old time boxing". These were some of his favourite fights crediting both of the boxers that would make these fights legendary.

My dads Fravorite fighter would be between Roberto Duran and Marco Antonio Barrera. My favorite boxer right now is Jose Luis Castillo. I like the fact that one of his goals in boxing is to be recognised as one of the best Mexican Fighters of all time. He always gives it his all in the ring, is very humble and always wants to fight the best. I really hope the best for him and in my eyes he is already one of the best fighters ever. I really have mad respect for Castillo and if I ever became a boxer I would like to follow in his foot steps.

My dad isnt really a big big boxing fan. He only knows the "famous ones". Its kidna gay cos he always lecteurs me about how boxing can give brain damage and all that (cos i play the sport of course).

However its funny when he wants to get me to go out of the door or something, he always tells me to do the Ali Shuffle out of the door and the Rope 'A' Dope round the corner. Makes me laugh everytime. :D.

Foreman.

My dad was a green beret, and Foreman would visit them frequently, and he always describes how Foreman was the biggest dude he could ever imagine. He likes him as a person and a boxer.

As of right now though, he is a Hatton fan.

My father was into boxing more than the average sports fan, but not like I am.
I'm pretty sure his favorite fighter was Duran. He always told me, back when I loved Ray Leonard, that Roberto Duran was going to beat Ray....made me angry to hear it. Made me angrier when it happened !
