Starting Jan 1, 2005, all cell phone numbers will be made public to telemarketing firms. So this means as of Jan 1, your cell phone may start ringing off the hook with telemarketers, but unlike your home phone, most of you pay for your incoming calls. These telemarketers will eat up your free minutes and end up costing you money in the long run.

You should register them on the National Do Not Call List before December 15th, 2004. You can call 1-888-382-1222 or do it online at http://www.donotcall.gov – personal cell phones may also want to register on the Do Not Call List. It only takes a moment to register on the Do Not Call List and it could save you time and money [REAL POINTS]

You should have labeled this as BAD news. That really rots. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and it doesn't work. I still get one call a night from telemarketers. It really rots for those of us that don't get free incoming mins.

1) I dont wanna have to worry about not loosing it.
2) I dont wanna be located by anyone all the time.
3) I dont want people mad at me when i dont answer. Obviously if I got a cellphone and i dont answer, i didnt feel like talking to you. Nothing like not answering ur home phone people assume ur not home.

I carry a cellphone because of necessity (period). :) Others prolly just want to show off. :D

Number 2 and 3 are my main reasons for not having a cell phone as well. Plus I'd be in some serious money trouble cause all my friends and my gf have a cell phone and I'd have to write tons of SMS.

.....Im on it and it works for me. We never get calls anymore.

Yeah...I finally got an answering machine, now any call I see what is out of the state, (because telemarketers usually call from far away places..) I just to pick it up.
