Bernard Hopkins will be on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights tonight. Should be pretty interesting to see what he has to say. He'll probably talk about his rematch in December, how he thought he won the fight, and give his predictions on Jones/Tarver 3 which im sure they'll talk about too.

i am a hopkins fan but i agree with iwatch in that
wtf is he talking about winning the fight i think an SD was ridiculus in that case, i mean dude the man ran for like 7 or 8 rounds i cant believe the cards were that close and i cant believe b-hop is complaining.

but for the record i believe if the fight was an actuall SD there is no way for a challenger to get an SD over an Undisputed Champ

No, Trinidad Winky was very comparable to Chavez/Whitaker. Or Chavez/Taylor.

Atlas: "Bernard - how come you did nothing for the first 8 rounds?"

Hopkins: "Even though I was running scared for the first 8 rounds, I deserved the decision. He was missing a lot, and even though I did nothing and he landed more punches, I looked great running. That's great ring generalshipness or sumtin"

Atlas: "How come one judge gave the 12th round to Taylor?"

Bernard: "That judge is blind or sumtin. He'll never judge my fight again."

Atlas: "How come one judge gave you rounds 3 4 and 5!"

Bernard: "He can judge my fights any time. Pure genius, he saw me running and making Taylor miss."

Atlas: "What will you do differently next time?"

Bernard: "Buy two more judges like that genius Roth."

Atlas: "How could a champ with 20 defenses fight such a dumb fight?"

Bernard: "Whaddya mean, I won, everybody says so."

Atlas: "Why did you go whining like a ***** and appeal the decision like a sore loser?"

Bernard: "Whaddya mean, I won, everybody says so."

... and repeat ...

Im Still Amazed At How Many People Actually Think Taylor Won That Fight. He Threw 100 More Punches Than Hopkins And Landed Less.......who Won What Fight Now? My Point Exactly

Being aggressive and don't come back with that it wasn't effective aggresiveness because he wasn't landing crap. The point is that he was taking it to Hopkins through out the fight till about the 9th RD when he started getting tired.

saying Taylor was 'taking' it to Hopkins for all 9 rounds is a joke. you must've been watching something else.

Ok Soldier01 you can stop hugging JT's nuts now...the fight could've gone EITHER WAY because they BOTH didn't deserve to win that night. As for a rematch, B-hop will KNOCK THE **** out of JT and reign as middleweight king once more before fighting WInky and retiring. Now, i know its not cool seeing hopkins complaining and all, but thats just him. That is the nature of his attitude. Its a BIG deal, losing the belt's he has been defending for a LONG ASS Time, and he loses it by a very controversial SD? Thats gotta hurt. Especially when you didn't get hurt most of the fight and had JT out on his feet twice in the fight. I can't wait to see my man on FNF tonight.

i'll continue...you taylor-huggers act like Hopkin's has never *****ed before in his career. Like it's a big surprise or something. Now everytime the dudes name is mentioned, you wet yourselves at the opportunity to name-call, it's juvenile. The rematch couldn't come soon enough.

yea, that is exactly what i was thinking. i was suprised at the sd, but if there is a split decision, it should always go to the champ.

i have to bring it up a judge is supposed to score effective aggresion a fighter can't be given a rnd. for the simple fact the he was going foward taylor got countered all night ...the only thing taylor did was throw more punches ,hops landed more total punches and more power punches ...hops should of gotten the decision i agree with most that a challenger really has to win in convincing fashion to win the belts from the champion taylor did not do that ..
