I think Dominic Guinn would be a good opponent. Mesi would be good if he could get cleared. What about Toney? Byrd? I even give him a chance against Ruiz. Or he could do a rematch with Jirov.

First person that comes to mind is is James Toney.

James Toney should fight Chris Byrd because Byrd holds the IBF belt in the heavyweight division and that's the belt that Toney gave up at cruiserweight to move up in weight class.

Moorer is tough, but i don't think he has it in him to beat anyone on this list, even jirov, there is no way he could pull that off again. him and ruiz could be a good fight, although moorer a few years back would kill ruiz.

Moorer is the perfect opponent for Mike Tyson.

I think he could make LT Heavy and do a damn good job there. He could take out Tarver and preety much everyone there.

have him fight Tua in a rematch, just give Tua a warm-up fight after being off for a year or so. then put those two back in the ring together. the only reason moorer's punches had an effect was he had twenty some odd pounds on jirov. jirov takes too many punches, to be fighting someone that out weighs him that much. it gonna catch up with him, as it did.......lesson learned..

Foreman. :p Only joking I wouldn't want Moorer getting ko'd again.

remember that it is not so easy for a fighter to just move back down or move down lower than their natural weight class...just because he he strong, that doesn't mean that draining to 175 will mean he is stronger than everyone else at 175...he may be weaker from draining

he should fight iron mike tyson. since these two never fought in the 90's. id still pay to see them fight now even though they are both washed up.

oh, he'll be weaker, Jirov hasn't weighed 175 since he fought Tarver in the 96 olympics, now he'd have to suck on lemons to maintain 175, if he could even get down there. i doubt he could, Jirov is a natural cruiserweight

It was not as if Moorer dominated Jirov, won each round handily and punctuated all that with a KO ending.

A single punch landed on a foolish Jirov and ended the fight! And that's about all that Moorer did, regardless of what resulted from that solitary deed. Looking towards the next on the basis of what he's just done...?!

Oh well, ok. Moorer and Toney have, each, a win against Jirov. They should get together. ;)

And, yes, for some big bucks, Tyson too. We boxing batty fans never learn restraint when it comes to Tyson. Many of us will shell out precious greens for PPV if its Tyson. :o

I will say he challenges Ruiz.

Ruiz will take the bait as Moorer has a name, and Ruiz needs another name on the list, he will figure he can outlast Moorer.

Ruiz will think that Moorer is a "safe" fight for him, but one that can be made with ease, with Moorer being willing to fight for less money than some of the other "big" names on the horizon.

Moorer will be ahead on points in this one, as Ruiz doesn't have the handspeed of a Jirov, and he will punish Ruiz everytime he goes in for the "Ruiz Man Hug".

Moorer wins it by Knock Out and becomes a 3x Heavyweight Champion
in the 9th or 10th Round....

ruiz by UD, ruiz has pretty good boxing skills, and is still faster than moorer, he will box as he did in the 1st 2 rounds of the golota fight, and win easy.

Well Great1, I don't see Ruiz as being a fighter who throws that many punches, so his boxing skills are really a non factor as I see it. Certainly Jirov is a better "boxer" than a Ruiz, and as to Ruiz being faster than Moorer, I don't agree, I think Moorer's ability to throw that quick inside "short" punch will be the difference in this one....

he should fight wlad klitscho

aztec13
12-11-2004, 04:11 PM
sorry wlad klitscho next just to see if the jirov fight does anything to motivate him, plus wlad is still quick and has power so if he gets passed him then a big name fight.

How bout the "chronicles of Riddick Bowe" or even a rematch with
Evander Holyfield? ;)

Wladimir, if Michael wins he'll get a shot at a title, if Wlad wins, he'll be back in the picture. I don't think he knows right now which orad to follow.

I think Toney should fight him. Moorer getting pretty long in the tooth. It would be Toneys best chance to beat a true heavywieght. I dont think Toney cant beat the top heavies.

im almost certain he will fight one of the king heavyweights, hes not a serious threat and hes a name. look for him to be up against brewster, golata, ruiz or byrd

He should fight Hasim Rahman so we can see him get ktfo and end this comeback crap that these old heavyweights like him and Bowe are tryin to do. BTW, please retire Evander.
