I think that purse for Vitali is total ****. He is the most recognized champ in the division and he is getting paid a measley 350k? I think Mccline made more in his fight against Byrd recently.

The fight is in Las Vegas, it would gross more if it was in LA or NYC.

This is shocking too me, I thought payperview would at least put the main even guys in the low millions, I can't believe that VK is only making 350K...unbelievable

I don't think that you are taking into consideration the fact that K2 promotions is also making a lot of money.

I think this was a PPV because HBO is trying to make Vitali the face of HBO boxing when Gatti, Jones Jr, DLH are gone.

Heavyweight money comes against big heavyweight names. Unfortunately, there aren't too many out there. Tyson's probably it for a big payday. And Tyson vs. McBride won't do it, but there's big money in VKlit vs. Tyson.

This was not a PPV card, especially a 49.95 one, but you have to make your guys happy. Now maybe they'll have to throw some money at Wlad to come back, although this was the first fight I can remember when Vitali didn't mention his brother during post-fight interviews...
