If i recall, i think he even got stripped off one of his titlesi think that foreman and his team[managers,lawyers,advisers]figured that afrter reviewing all offers axel was theway to go,the money was in their range and the venues were guaranteed sell outs,:boxing:

His fight days were numbered, so best to cash in. All about low risk opponents with a good paycheque at the end.

you are right,he won the title and george and his group were smart enough to go after the biggest paydays coming form purses, gate revenues, ppv,buys,sponsorships,:boxing:
