I really like reading the Economist, even though I often don't agree with their editorial slant. Still, they're quite evenhanded for a business-focused magazine and they cover a lots of news going on in the world that gets ignored by most of the press in North America.

Anyway, I thought that all boxing fans with an interest in politics might find the cover of their latest issue pretty hilarious:

He doesn't cut quite as imposing a figure as, say, his fellow Russian Valeuv, but I might give him odds against, say, Joppy or Hakkar :D .

"Far from being a reformer of a flawed but functioning democracy, Russia's Vladimir Putin is an autocratic obstacle to change—and increasingly anti-western to boot."

UH OH

Just finished reading the article...it really attacks Putin, though for good reason. Hopefully the West will continue to be as hard on him as they have been during the problems in Ukraine. It's a scary problem though...the man is an unstable leader in an unstable country brimming with nukes and terrorists.
