They were both fighting dirty. Taylor was holding and hitting early and every time he did Hopkins gave him a low blow. It was pretty even in the dirty category.

Why "worse"? Well, Hatton was in with a fighter who clearly didn't mind or object... even the much-vaunted "whack in the nuts" was retaliatory. Hopkins was doing it to a guy who had such a high regard for the Marquis it was painful. Don't get me wrong, I'm not justifying it, but if Ricky is condemned, then why not Hopkins?

I can't remember, tell the truth... all I can recall off-hand is him going through domestic competition like there's no tomorrow and struggling to catch Hopkins.

I agree. What surprised me was how easy it was for Hopkins on the inside. I thought if anyone had an advantage on the inside it would be Taylor who I thought would be a little stronger. They were about equal in strength and Hopkins had his way for the most part in close. I think in a rematch Hopkins should be more aggressive and give Taylor a William Joppy type of beating and stay in Taylor's chest.

Good for you...you have been a Taylor fan and it must be great for you that he won. I remember when Judah beat Spinks how happy I was. However I think a rematch should take place and I think Hopkins will win his titles back.
