Lame, It was hardly a moral victory for Hopkins was it, I mean he was lucky in my opinion, if he hadnt landed that shot in the money spot it was still an even fight....Dont forget ppl will be saying he was lucky to beat a guy that was realy a welterweight.
As victories goes it just proved that DLH is a special fighter, and Hopkins is getting old.

Never he fought bums he beat allen 3 times for crying out loud, that may be the fault of the alphabets but he was still a ruler of a mediocre division.
He came into that fight at 169 pounds
What chance did de la hoya have, he did well to go 9 rounds.
Nard should move up to light heavy and get beaten by Jones again :p

i as well called it in the 9th. just take a look at any of my previous posts about this fight or about hopkins.... it will say hopkins tko in the 9th. and i thought that dlh was going to go to the canvas 3 times, but it only took one.....

i give him mad props though, when dlh got hit, he hit back and got aggressive.....and he looked pretty good with his slaping punches.....

i am happy with the out come.....

I don't get you guys. Bernard showed a phenominal performance, game plan and execution. Give the guy a break. Had he lost, you guys would have thrashed him and say that he only fought nobodies. When he wins like last night, you guys say the same thing. The guy knocked out Oscar De LaHoya who was in tremendous shape, never been knocked out in his life and who was the younger fighter with faster fists. Sheeeeesh, cut the boy some slack.

I called it Hopkins TKO 11. I was surprised yes by the knockout but it wasn't a lucky punch. Every one punch knockout you guys say its lucky. That's just stupid...

even after this defeat people still wont get off oscars nuts no offense to the man he is a good boxeer but not great trinidad went 12 rounds with hopkins but i bet dlh lovers forget to see that dlh has been bloated from the start in my view all the name fighters he fought only once did he win convincingly that was vargas and as for hopkins dont hate him for ruling his division he has never ducked a single person in his wieght class.
