Tyson Accused of Jumping on Car Hood

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson (search) was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor criminal damage for allegedly jumping on the hood of a car outside of a city nightclub, police said.

Tyson, who moved to Scottsdale (search) early this year, appeared with attorneys at the city's police station Tuesday afternoon and was released after being given a citation.

Scottsdale police detective Sam Bailey said Wednesday that Tyson likely will make an initial court appearance in the case within 10 days.

Police said the arrest stemmed from an investigation into an incident late last month at the *****cat Lounge.

Tyson allegedly dented the hood of a car when he jumped on it as its driver was leaving the club around 1 a.m. on Nov. 27.

Police said it was unclear if Tyson and the other man fought inside the club before the incident or if they knew each other.

The 22-year-old victim, whose name was not immediately released, reported the incident to police and claimed a body shop estimated the hood damage at $1,400, Bailey said.

Looks like tyson is at it again, before he fought williams it looked like he was leaving all the bad stuff behind him and was even talking like a nice guy.

.....Yeah, too many stories about drug abuse, hanging with the wrong individuals, etc. etc. I would say he is headed for real trouble. I say he is in a pine box within a year. Any takers on that bet??

As a fight fan I want the jumping on cars attitude,and not the easy going Tyson we have been seeing.Start raising hell,and come back with fire under ya.This is a small occurance,yet maybe a big occurance for his career.

The guy's whose car he jumped only wants to get paid for the damage done to his car...he said he doesn't want Tyson to go to jail or anything. I'm sure Tyson's guys can work out some sort of arrangement to keep him out of serious trouble for this. So he's lucky this time around...

So he jumped on top of a car when he was drunk,big deal. I've done worse things when I was drunk and I don't think this incident will affect his future comeback.

Mike just needs to quit hanging out in spots that he could lose his cool at. Tyson doesn't look like a guy that would go and pick a fight with a 22 year old. But he does look like a person who could get very pissed off if someone mouthed off to him. The kid probably bit off more than he could chew with Tyson and tried to get out of there in a hurry. **** like that happens in those spots especially if your famous like Mike Tyson. They want to see if your as bad as everyone says you are.
