What's the most boring job you've ever had?

Right now I work in the business library at Pitt and am bored out of my mind. I do nothing all day.

I also had a job where I put stickers on boxes for a shipping company.

Of the two, the labrary is actually more boring; at least at the shipping job I worked with other people. Here I am by myself.

data entry clerk about 5 years ago. it didn't last too long. unless you're a student or actively seeking another job, there's no excuse for being a tool.

My daughter loves working there...but then again, most of her paycheck goes right back to them. :-)

She's working full time now. She also got a raise. :D

I once had a job cleaning bricks, after old buildings were knocked down.
Penny and a half a brick, you had to be half drunk to do the job, so you'd get into a rhythm, and not think about what you were doing. Also had a job as a night watchman at a steel plant. The first night they put me on stakeout, sitting in this building all night, waiting to see if someone would break in. I quit the next day!

I worked as a toll both attendant at the airport one summer while in school.

It would be busy as hell for an hour and then nothing for 3 hours. Then busy as hell for another hour and then nothing for 2 more hours. Then I'd punch out and go home.

I did a lot of reading at that job, and actually had sex with a female attendant behind her booth once.

Now there's an idea for a thread, how many times, and in what situations, have you had sex at work?
