Library is great indeed. I use to check out the Sopranos and Sex and the City sets all of the time. Good stuff will be found there.
I dont do much renting these days, I like to collect. I still have 90 dvds I have never even watched yet.
BadMagick 07-14-2005, 11:54 AM The library where I lived before charged a dollar for a week. Still not bad, though.
LuKahnLi 07-14-2005, 01:15 PM The library also usually has artsy high brow **** you won't find in at blockbuster.
{BrownBomber} 07-14-2005, 01:22 PM I have over 300 original dvd's. Ill copy stupid movies like Napoleon Dynomite from time to time cause I think they arent worth $10 or $15 bucks.I started buying dvd's when they were still around $30. I know you can rent them and copy them but it isnt the same like having the original.

Indeed, when I was on vacation I purchased almost 40 movies. *ouch*
Also if you ever go to Walmart check the 1 dollar bin, I picked up the original Night of the Living Dead....For a buck!

I hate going there I always end up buying like 2 or 3 movies.
Best place to go for movies is Best Buy, they have the biggest variety ive ever seen. They are mostly regular price though so I cant go crazy buying all kinds of stuff. I swear I could go to sleep in that store, I love it so much.
masterdirector 07-14-2005, 02:34 PM wow you guys have way more money to throw around than me. now a $1 bin I could handle, if they had movies I wanted of course. Anything over that is too much for me. Burning DVDs is so cheap and easy, although a bit time consuming.
I have over 600 burned DVDs. But of course I own the originals too and those are just backups ;)
Seriously, 300 commercial DVDs? Impressive.
Yeah I don't like my Best Buy cause everything costs too much for me to really enjoy it. It was fun to go in there on their PS2 big screen display (which can be seen throughout the store) and school some punk on Fight Night R2 though.

lol, *** j/k
Nah you should see my list. I don't have it with me though. I've over 600 movies, some of which I would deserve the "***" comment for, such as:
Alice in Wonderland
Wizard of Oz
Return to Oz
101 Rent Boys (J/K)
Hey what does the little "x" on your list mean? Those movies you're letting friends borrow?
You should pick up Adaptation. Great movie.
And WTF is "SCAREFACE"? :D

I picked up Willy Wonka and Wizard of OZ a few months back.
Adaptation F'N RULES! Best movie I have seen in a long time, Cage nailed that like Vince Vaughn on Jennifer Aniston.
I just finished up Anchorman god that movie sucked.
Anybody ever see "Employee of the Month"? I watched that the other night and it turned out to be great. Seriously that is one awesome movie that was put together fairly well and the ending is a big shocker! It is insane. I recommend it for everybody to see.

Spinx said it was good also so I'll buy it and check it out.

Make it a rental or download it. It is an absolute brilliant film and it is also one of those flicks either you hate it or you love it. If you love it you will be awake eyes wide open throughout the whole film, but if you hate it you will be asleep about 10 minutes into it.
masterdirector 07-21-2005, 07:50 PM It helps if you read the book "Story" by Robert McKee first, but not necessary. That was my book for screenwriting, then its quoted and alluded to all through the movie, which makes it that much more hilarious for me.
