Great movie, but I think that right now, my favorite is still Scarface. But most Pacino movies make my list. Carlito's Way, Donnie Brasco, Godfather I and II are some of them.

Check The Order. Very underrated horror/religious film. The best horror film I have seen in years. I like it as much I like the Omen or The Shining. Maybe more.

No, but I know it's one of Tarrantino's classics. Hey, I am not a greedy guy, it's just that I don't have much money right now and really want a copy of Vanilla Sky. I tried to find it used but was not succesful. Is there anyone like Tracylee who could donate this awesome movie to me? A recorded copy?

you got to ask her. I saw Vanilla Sky that is a weird movie, it is actually a remake of a Spanish movie called Open Your Eyes. i saw both versions. Open You Eyes shows more nudity of penelope cruz.

meryl streep is amazing in the Deer Hunter. it's my favorite movie, and Best Picture of 1978. Another good one i don' think anyone else will mention, but definitley worth watching is Little Big Man. It is one of my favorite movies, it's about the old west, seen through the eyes of a loser ( he is a loser ) named Jack Crabb. i suspect i see a lot of myself in the cowardly loser Jack Crabb, but i love that movie. Another one of may all time favs is Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid ( the 1973 original version, don't watch the remakes they're about half as good ).

I have around 150 movies in my collection, I am always buying the damn things, mostly action flicks, and all the usual gangster flicks, Scarface, Godfather 1,2,3 etc. etc. plus all the Alien flicks and I am a big Stallone fan, I've got a bunch of his.

I like a good western too, have the classics, but my favorite western is Tombstone -- Val Kilmer should have gotten an Oscar for that role as Doc Holiday....

I always win the movie drinking game.

I am a film buff I guess.

Favorite movie is "For Whom The Bell Tolls" w/ Gary Cooper.

But don't be fooled by that. My favorite Genre by far is old school kung fu movies.....but I am well versed in other genres....except musicals.

I love action and suspense thrillers, specially film versions of the works of Robert Ludlum (Bourne Identity/Supremacy), John Grisham (The Firm, Runaway Jury, Pelican Brief, The Client), Tom Clancy (Red October, Sum Of All Fears), Frederick Forsythe (Day Of The Jackal), Alistair McLean (Force 10 From Navarone), etc.

You sound like me, do you like the movie "Seven"? It's my all time favorite.

Have you seen Kilmer play the role of John Holmes in the movie "Wonderland"? He is steadily rising up my list of best actors....the guy is amazing and that movie is awesome too.

Yes I did. Thought he was good in that one too.

What's Always Outnumbered?
Always outnumbered starred Samuel L. Jackson as a guy who was just released from prison for rape trying to put his life together. He befriends a young boy and an old man, its a great movie. I definitely recommend it.

You sound like me, do you like the movie "Seven"? It's my all time favorite.
Yup! It was an all-star cast - Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey & Gwyneth Paltrow. Great thriller!

OH yeah. It is still awesome.

I really did not like the 1990 remake though.

I thought the recent Dawn of The Dead Remake was good.

SoundT, i'm glad u said that about Val Kilmer, he did a great job as Doc holliday in that movie and never GOT ANY CREDIT FOR IT, it pisses me off that Dennis Quaid ( who's less than half the actor Kilmer is) copied his perfromance a year later in the costner Wyatt earp movie and gets all the praise.

I'm a big film buff also. It's been my dream since I was about 6 years old to be in the movies. At first I wanted to be an actress but my one true passion is screenwriting. I've been workin on a screenplay the last year that I really think'll make it one day, I'm really proud of it, just working out some glitches now

Good thread!!

Is it a full 120 page screenplay? I keep getting distracted when I go to write - I've started and thrown out the same idea a half dozen times now. I'm thinking I might write it in novel form in first person and see how that goes...

Is it a full 120 page screenplay? I keep getting distracted when I go to write - I've started and thrown out the same idea a half dozen times now. I'm thinking I might write it in novel form in first person and see how that goes...

It goes from 110 - 130 pages or so each time I go to edit it. Yea it's a real screenplay. I always get annoyed with people sayin "I'm a screenwriter I'm a screenwriter" and they don't know anything about how to or what to write or anythin... no way am I callin myself a legitimate screenwriter but one day I will be!!

Yea I did that for a long time. This screenplay I'm finished now started out as an idea I had about 3 years ago but I would just think about it and write a little and it was so disorganized and it wouldn't get done

If you're having trouble actually gettin it down just take an hour each day where you force yourself to write it, that's what got mine written, and it takes no time, all the ideas will finally come together and make sence when there's less brainstorming sessions and more writing.

Writing a novel would be cool. I tried to do that with my story instead of the screenplay but I soon discovered that I'm no novelist :D
