Here is a ghost story that has been passed down in my family by my grandma she swears it is true, check it out.

A doctor is sitting home one night when he gets a knock on the door. When he opens it a little girl about five years old is there, she looks pale and sick and is wearing some wierd looking pink slip on shoes that the doctor notices because they look strange. So the little girl says "Help me, my mommy is dying" So the little girl leads the doctor to her house where her mom is staying. The little girl says "Go ahead inside the door is open". As the doctor is opening the door, the little girl runs off, and is nowehere to be seen. So the doctor goes inside sees the sick lady on the bed and starts examining her. Now this is back in the day when doctors would do house visits and carry a medical bag around. It turns out the sick lady has pneumonia. So the sick lady says to the doctor "Thanks but how did you know to come here and treat me?" The doctor says "Your little daughter brought me here to help you". The sick lady says "What I dont have a daughter, my only daughter died 3 years ago from a fever". The doctor is confused and starts describing the way the little girl looked to the sick lady. The sick lady says that is exactly how her daughter looked. Now the doctor is in utter shock and looks around the room-and in the corner of the room he sees the weird looking pink slip on shoes-being saved by the sick lady in remembrance of her dead daughter- the same weird looking slip on shoes worn by the little girl that knocked on his door.

Now this story has been passed down by my grandma in my family. The sick lady is my grandma and the little girl is her first daughter that she had that died of a fever. My grandma swears on her life that this really happened. This story freaked me out when I was young. Now I dont know what to think of it since I am kind of skeptical of ghosts. Anyway cast your vote and tell me what you think about this.

Spooky story...though did her sickness make her delusional? Did she talk about this afterwards with the doctor when she was feeling better?

i'm not sure what pneumonia does to you if it makes you deleusional or what. she said the doctor was shocked, didnt want to talk about it, and she never saw him again.

Anything with a high fever can make you delusional, I believe, though it sounds like she was convinced that this happened. I just try to be skeptical about any sort of story like this, if only because if you start believing one or two than you'll end up believing everything you hear.

Being skeptical of ghosts myself, I agree that this is probably what happened she was probably seeing things. But I didn't want to say that to her cause I dont want to hurt the old ladies feelings. Especially when she swears on her life this happened. But either way when I was kid and I heard this story I couldnt sleep with the lights out for a month. Some people beleive this is for real when they hear this story too , just thought I'd share with everyone this creepy story.

Hey Johnny Swift, there are variations of this story, such as a woman standing at a road side saying there was an accident. The driver stops and goes to see what is happening. He sees the passengers in the front seat are dead, but there is a baby in the back seat that is alive. He saves the baby and calls for help but realizes the woman who lead him there is gone. When he sees the passengers, he realizes that the woman who is dead in the front seat and was the same woman who lead him to the wreck.

I'm sure there are similair stories, I never heard of those stories. just this one that my grandma has been saying since I was a little kid, and passed down for generations. talk to her if you think she's crazy or lying. I already told you what i think. I dont beleive in ghost. I just wanted to see what everyone else in the boxing scene community thought of my grandmas story.

It's definitely a creepy story...see why it kept you up at night  . These stories are impossible to prove or disprove but it's interesting to hear these them.

Yes it is interesting wether they are true or not. I myself voted NO on this thread. I dont have the heart to tell my grandma she was seeing things, I love my grandma too much to hurt her feelings. Just my logical mind tells me that magic does not exist so how can these events really have happened.

I used to be skeptical until my buddy's wife told me a story when her grandma just passed away only a year or two ago. She got the phone call of the bad news, as soon as she put down the phone she heard a doorbell. Opened it, no one there. Now if she stopped the story then I would have said she imagined the whole thing. The freaky thing is, the doorbell rang again, while she was standing by the door and was holding the damn thing open!!! If it's anybody else I would have just said ehhh, but this person is pretty level-headed and someone I've known for a long time. My hair was standing on ends when my buddy told me she got a phone call from his wife screaming for him to get the f*ck home right away.... lol. I woulda ran out of the f*cking house screaming like a banshee if that kind of **** happened to me.

haha yea man tahts some messed up ****, but it coulda been the doorbell button got stuck, happens to use sometimes
but heres one of my stories, it could be sumthin supernatural or it could simply be my mistake, well here it is anyways

was 12 years old, at my uncles famr for a week in the summer. we were having dinner until my uncle noticed that his dog was loose (he had to keep his dogs tied up cos cops didnt like the dogs let loost) but anyways he asked me to go and tie him up. i went outside and grabbed the rope that is always used to tie to his collar. i did that, with a tie strong nough that i thought would hold. later that night i when i was watching tv, i noticed his dog was running around all over again, there was no one awake so i thought i should go do it again. its when i went outside i saw sumthing really strange. the dogs collar and the rope were stuck pretty high up in a tree. i dont know how it got there, could have been the wind, could have been the dog, or it could be sumthin no one can explain. it was pretty scary for me cos i was the only one awake. i jus quicky went inside and went to bed, next morning my uncle asks me if i tied the dog up. i didnt wanna tell him wat had happened so i was like yeah i tied it up. so he was like "i guess u didnt tie it good enuff, the dogs loose agen" i kinda jus sat there silently trying to hold the story from last night in.

I used to spend a month every summer with my Aunt and Uncle and cousins on their farm in rural South Dakota. I never witnessed it personally, but all four members of the family swear to this day they had multiple interactions with a ghost whose name was Simon. Now these people are pretty normal rural farming folks and I could see if maybe my aunt and uncle were smoking a little wacky tabacky......but both my cousin Sara (maybe 4-5 at the time) and cousin Ron (maybe 11-12 at the time) bith swear by it also. The creepiest story was my cousin Ron used to sleep walk alot and he said one night he was woken up by "Simon" right before he was about open the dooer to go outside. He said, he felt someone grab his shoulder and he woke up and the ghost was right there and told him to go back to bed!

****ing freaky!

my wife received a phone call from her dead grandmother. a week after she died. I had an aquaintence/friend that fell asleep at the wheel and died. His girlfriend at the time said he haunted her for years. The night he died I had a dream where he told me not to fall asleep on my trip to Illinois. This was before I heard he died.

Our ghost just lifted the toilet seat....HARD.

I guess he is letting me know that he is aware of the subject matter I'm reading.

We live in a big old house built in the late 20's....a lot of history here. I have known since the first week we were here that we were not alone.
I just see something out the corner of my eye ..or hear somebody walking upstairs when all the kids are gone. Things move. The T.V. comes on unexpectedly. I know somehow that it is the spirit of a little boy who died here. I feel like he is often afraid and wishes he could move on. I wish he could too. He seems to miss someone desperately.

I am gonna find something funny on the tube now.........sometimes it helps. (him AND me!) :D

Okay, the fact that the doctor wouldnt talk about it when she was well and then she never saw him again should speak volums. Ghosts, etc...go against everything medical professionals believe in and have been taught in med school. Sounds to me like it shook him up more than it did your Grandma. Maybe there is something to it. She should have pursued the issue and gotten him to talk about it anyway ;)

We know from physics that energey can neither be created or destroyed. If life is a type of energy, then can death really be the destruction of life? How can it be if life is a form of energy? Perhaps death is merely the conversion of that energey to another state.

I think existance of ghosts is a real possibilty.
