One rock song that gets no recognition is Prince-319. I know everyone's gonna hate, but check that **** out. Dude is a pimp, and he rocks the guitar.

He's extremely feminine, but as far as music goes, basically untouchable.

I dunno about untouchable.

It is technically very good. His guitarwork is quite underrated.

In the past year, I have bought all of his albums. Somewhere around 17 I believe total albums and a few of them are multi disc sets. This guy is unbelievable. Next week remind me and I'll post a good 25-30 songs in the DL section. I'm very busy this week. I stand by my declaration, basically untouchable! :)

I agree with everything except for the Greatful Dead.
Bertha is about the only song by them I can stomach.

I hate Greatful Dead for the same reason I hate Steely Dan. Both groups use seemingly ENDLESS uninspired guitar solos.

Those are all very good songs. I love 80's music. That's what I remember most a child. I think "When Doves Cry" is one of the top ten songs of the 80's as well.

80s New Wave is a bit underrated today too. I think the problem was saturation. There was so many groups that were on the scene with 1 hit and faded away....people seem today seem to think all the 80s New Wave bands were like that.

Eurythmics, The Smiths, Joy Division/New Order, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, The Cure......These bands consistently made good songs.

What do you guys think of Dave Matthews>? Not his stuff as of late but earlier Matthews?

I've been a monsterous fan since about '93 when "Remember Two Things" was released. I think Crash was one of the better albums released since 1990...

Anyway, I haven't really been feeling his new stuff...nothing after Everyday at least.

I think "Don't Drink The Water" is his best and most profound song.

Most DM Heads STILL couldn't tell you what it is about. Fools.

The song that really won me over was "So Much to Say" on Crash, but my favorite song of his is "Warehouse" off of Live at Red Rocks.

I just think hes trying to get too experimental with his newer studio stuff and in between that it's just a bunch of previously released music from live shows.

His studio recorded work is much better, really the only good live work I've liked of his was Chicago and Red Rocks.

I'll tell you what though, the musicians in his group are excellent, and Dave ain't bad on the old guitar despite being a bit sloppy. Carter and Boyd in particular are amazing.

Dave Matthews Band is outstanding.

Seen those cats in concert several times.

I'm a big fan of what were known as "jam bands" in the 90's.

Dave Matthews, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, Phish, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Hot Tuna, String Cheese Incident - etc.
