Anyone else watching this humiliation  kaps 07-07-2005, 09:59 PM I cant watch a baseball game without falling asleep before the top of the first inning.... Blood_Child 07-07-2005, 10:07 PM Better than Nascar.... Kid Achilles 07-07-2005, 10:19 PM When's the last time you've seen a pitcher crash and turn into a flaming wreck? Blood_Child 07-07-2005, 10:21 PM Sorry, it's just not exciting to watch people drive around in circles hoping for a wreck. oldgringo 07-07-2005, 10:22 PM It's because Derrek Lee is hurt and their pitching is overrated. Kid Achilles 07-07-2005, 10:24 PM Nah, NASCAR sucks bigger balls than anything, and baseball is well ahead of basketball in excitement, but I could never sit down for a whole game. Tha_Greatest 07-07-2005, 10:29 PM Sorry, it's just not exciting to watch people drive around in circles hoping for a wreck. Yes it is exciting, alotta crazy rednecks enjoy it so morepower to them, You know, its alot like..........what the hell am i talking about. Nascar sucks. Forget I said anything and condemn my soul to hell. My grandma can be a Nascar driver. She can still compete ,even with her arthritic right hand Prostitroop 07-07-2005, 10:31 PM Hey, what's all the commotion The Troll 07-07-2005, 10:32 PM The Cubs are losing to the freakin Braves, holy cannoli!!!! Anyone else watching this humiliation  The Cubs are pathetic. They have lost 4 in a row to the Braves and their pitching is an abomination. They seriously have the worst bullpen I have ever seen. Pryor cant pitch more than 5 innings and is injured perpetually same as Wood. The Cubs probably are in the top 5 or top 10 worst teams this year for runs allowed. They get hammered it seems every single game, and they are supposed to have such great pitching. I always root against the Cubs they are a bunch idiots. Cubs are on a 7 game loosing streak. oldgringo 07-07-2005, 10:34 PM The Cubs are pathetic. The only things they have going for them are Lee and Ramirez. Oh and Zambrano sometimes. Tha_Greatest 07-07-2005, 10:37 PM The Cubs are pathetic. Hey a celebrity, its Kevin Mc Kay from Home Alone 2 The Troll 07-07-2005, 10:39 PM Hey a celebrity, its Kevin Mc Kay from Home Alone 2 Funny you say that. You know I was almost in the film Home Alone 3 as a stand in for the big brother character. Tha_Greatest 07-07-2005, 10:46 PM Funny you say that. If you like watching paint dry, then yes, baseball has more entertainment value. The Fix 07-07-2005, 11:48 PM twins all the way this year btw torii hunter was snubbed as an all star .277 avg 14 hr 51 rbi 19 sb stupid fans dont know anything, nomar was a vote leader and he played like 4 games oldgringo 07-07-2005, 11:51 PM twins all the way this year btw torii hunter was snubbed as an all star .277 avg 14 hr 51 rbi 19 sb stupid fans dont know anything, nomar was a vote leader and he played like 4 games Meh, he doesn't deserve it over Podsednik, the catalyst of the Sox operation. The Fix 07-08-2005, 12:00 AM Meh, he doesn't deserve it over Podsednik, the catalyst of the Sox operation. pods deserved to be there as well but does shea hillenbrand realy need to be there? last time i checked the twins were leading the wildcard and torii hunter is arguably the best defensive outfielder in the game today one could also argue that ichiro doesnt belong thier either, his team is terrible he is .301 9 hr 27 rbi which isnt that great considering the last couple of years he has had oldgringo 07-08-2005, 12:11 AM pods deserved to be there as well but does shea hillenbrand realy need to be there? last time i checked the twins were leading the wildcard and torii hunter is arguably the best defensive outfielder in the game today one could also argue that ichiro doesnt belong thier either, his team is terrible he is .301 9 hr 27 rbi which isnt that great considering the last couple of years he has had I agree with both of those points. I think that they didn't want two Twins on the roster so they deep sixed Hunter. Santana really hasn't had that great a year either. The ten best/most valuable players in the league as of right now are: Scott Podsednik Mark Buehrle Bobby Abreu Derrek Lee Chris Carpenter Chad Cordero Livan Hernandez Albert Pujols Pedro Martinez Dontrelle Willis I left off Clemens, Peavy, and Jones who could all be argued for. EDIT: I think Jones might be more valuable than Pods, but it's close. Jones just cranked out his 27 homer and the Braves at 49-37. He's only blown like 1 or 2 saves, has a 1.22 era, 30 saves, 2 wins, and almost always has the pressure on his back because they are always in close games. 30+ saves before the break is damned good. My NL MVP is by far and away Derrek Lee. He does everything offensively for his team and is still a legitimate triple crown candidate. Nobodies all around numbers come close, and hes one of the 3 best defensive first basemen in the league. Bobby Abreu is in a damned close second place. My AL MVP is sadly Alex Rodriguez. NL Cy Young is a toss up between Pedro and Chris Carpenter. AL Cy Young is Mark Buehrle as of right now. The Fix 07-08-2005, 02:17 AM He's been good, but Cordero has been a bit better IMO. FREECLOUD 07-08-2005, 02:47 PM omg...reading about baseball put me to sleep faster than watching a game. |
