Sorry, it's just not exciting to watch people drive around in circles hoping for a wreck.

It's because Derrek Lee is hurt and their pitching is overrated.

Nah, NASCAR sucks bigger balls than anything, and baseball is well ahead of basketball in excitement, but I could never sit down for a whole game.

The Cubs are pathetic. They have lost 4 in a row to the Braves and their pitching is an abomination. They seriously have the worst bullpen I have ever seen. Pryor cant pitch more than 5 innings and is injured perpetually same as Wood. The Cubs probably are in the top 5 or top 10 worst teams this year for runs allowed. They get hammered it seems every single game, and they are supposed to have such great pitching. I always root against the Cubs they are a bunch idiots.

Cubs are on a 7 game loosing streak.

The only things they have going for them are Lee and Ramirez. Oh and Zambrano sometimes.

Meh, he doesn't deserve it over Podsednik, the catalyst of the Sox operation.

pods deserved to be there as well but does shea hillenbrand realy need to be there? last time i checked the twins were leading the wildcard and torii hunter is arguably the best defensive outfielder in the game today

one could also argue that ichiro doesnt belong thier either, his team is terrible he is .301 9 hr 27 rbi which isnt that great considering the last couple of years he has had

I agree with both of those points. I think that they didn't want two Twins on the roster so they deep sixed Hunter. Santana really hasn't had that great a year either.

The ten best/most valuable players in the league as of right now are:

Scott Podsednik
Mark Buehrle
Bobby Abreu
Derrek Lee
Chris Carpenter
Chad Cordero
Livan Hernandez
Albert Pujols
Pedro Martinez
Dontrelle Willis

I left off Clemens, Peavy, and Jones who could all be argued for.

EDIT: I think Jones might be more valuable than Pods, but it's close. Jones just cranked out his 27 homer and the Braves at 49-37.

I just cant picture the Twins even earning a playoff spot because the Sox are hot as hell,The Angels will win their division and The Red Sox and Baltimore have proven more to me so far.How much can Johan carry his team

He's been good, but Cordero has been a bit better IMO. He's only blown like 1 or 2 saves, has a 1.22 era, 30 saves, 2 wins, and almost always has the pressure on his back because they are always in close games. 30+ saves before the break is damned good.

My NL MVP is by far and away Derrek Lee. He does everything offensively for his team and is still a legitimate triple crown candidate. Nobodies all around numbers come close, and hes one of the 3 best defensive first basemen in the league. Bobby Abreu is in a damned close second place.

My AL MVP is sadly Alex Rodriguez.

NL Cy Young is a toss up between Pedro and Chris Carpenter.

AL Cy Young is Mark Buehrle as of right now.

ok i got a bit ahead of myself my half way awards are as follows:

NL MVP= andruw jones, putting up monster numbers and the braves wont die.... i would have lee here but his team is ass

NL Cy Young= Livan Hernandez.... **** it he can pitch 13 innings and not be tired , 12-3 record is carrying the nats

AL MVP= Miguel Tejada has become the best ss in the league and is leading the orioles

AL CY Young= Roy Halladay, when healthy is probably the best in the game.... this year he is healthy and is putting up excellent numbers for the pretty good jays

johan santana is a second half performer and i wouldnt be surprised if he wins 12-15 sraight starts
