We got another Pac-Clottey on Saturday. Some expected that from Clottey in March, but not from Green. He was lucky to be the chosen one when Taylor withdrew and sounded like he was ready. But he had nothing for Ward.
Now he's up against Kessler in the next round. Kessler is no Ward, that was proven. But he'll still be too much for the Green that "showed up" against Ward. So a couple questions for you guys:
Are you still cool with Green's involvement, or do you think it put a cloud on the tournament?
Was Ward just too good, or Green just had no business fighting an elite fighter? If do you think Green just don't belong in this series with the best SMW's, how much credit do you give to Ward for the win?
Does Green have any chance against Kessler, who was proven to not be on Ward's level himself?

The underdog is supposed to press harder. Especially a guy like Green who is a decent fighter and had a great opportunity. He's done nothing much outside of De Leon and the Jaidon KO. I won't say it was bad for him to get Taylor's spot though, because he was obviously expected to fight.
And maybe Green looked like **** because Ward made him look like ****. It's absolutely wrong to deny Ward his due. His job is to beat his opponent's ass, and that's what he did. The win looks that much better because it was so one sided.
Just can't pick Green over anyone in the tournament after the turd he dropped vs Ward. Kessler is hardly invincible, but at least he tried to fight back in his losses. Hopefully Green will have a chip on his shoulder after getting embarrassed and will go all out to regain some credibility vs Kessler. I still think he's going to lose though. And Kessler can hit, so I won't be surprised if Green gets stopped.

Problem is this was the second time Green did this. It's true he had health issues in the Miranda fight, but he knew that when he signed the contract. That loss can't just be completely discarded. He was in with an elite (at the time) fighter and shut down completely. Against Ward, I can't see how he was executing any strategy, even if it was to bait him in to counter attack. He just didn't work at all. I'm 50-50 on hoping he comes back and beats Kessler and hoping Kessler just KO's his ass ans gets him out of the series if he don't really wanna be there.

I'm not sure who deserved it over Ward (obviously not including Bute). We all know what Bika is and he's lost to a couple top guys. Green was at least a wild card with a chance, but he showed his true colors AGAIN. If you're the underdog, you have to unload your weapons, he chose to do nothing and try and last.
Kessler should be a better fight because he fights from the outside like Green.

This one is in Denmark. Green is a dead man walking. Kessler will be fueled by the crowd and making it to the end of each round will not cut it. If he's just going to shell up, Kessler will tear into him and the ref will be quick to stop it with everyone going nuts behind each blow from Kessler. I was pleased to see Green get a chance to step up but now I'm sorely missing Taylor. Really wish he could still go. Got a feeling Green will throw away another golden opportunity in a series that's supposed to mark the best vying for supremacy.

That Ward fight was pitiful. Don't see the Kessler fight bein any different, aside from the outcome bein worse.
