Well, here is the deal, I get all travel, food, drinks, hotel accomodations paid for me, and I get paid too, I get about as much per hour as my Lawyer charges his clients - not bad huh?!

I do have some friends that work hard for a week and don't make what I make in 2 hours, but remember, I don't work every night.

That isn't nearly a Michael Buffer or a Jimmy Lennon Jr. - but I am working on it - just give me another 5 years and I will be a top dog too.

I will be transfering the "Too Sharp" Johnson vs Ivan Hernandez fight to digital in the next day or so, and will have it uploaded here in the full fight section, I will include my fighter intros and official time and winner outros so that everyone who wants to know what I sound like on the mic will be able to hear it for themselves.

Well, I have been on the mic since I was a kid in high school, I actually started in radio and was a radio jock for years. I also worked as a DJ in clubs, and still do that on the side, plus I have a small digital studio here at the house that I can record commercials in for radio or tv.

I was on the mic one night and a promoter walked up and asked me if I ever thought about doing some ring announcing and I told him I could do it if I had the chance - he gave me the chance that weekend and I have been doing it every since....

By the way, it was a GREAT fight, lots of action, way better than MAB vs Morales III....

"One fighter is hurt bad - deep trouble, the next round he comes back and puts the other guy on his butt, then the next round the other guys is hurt again! Wild inside fighting, good clean shots from both fighters - they could have fought this fight in a phone booth."

It reminded me of a Gatti vs Ward kind of fight....

Bobby was a Showtime commentator, until his last D.U.I. conviction, that violated Showtimes' "descency clauses" which meant no more contract for him....

He was so cool to me, the night that pic was taken, he told me he would give me a good review with his bosses at Showtime, so I gave him my card.

To my utter shock, when I got home, I had a wonderful message from Bobby on my answering machine, which said in part that he had already spoke to his bosses and gave me a detailed description of what he said to them about me! He also passed my card to them, 6 months later - Jimmy Lennon Jr was ill and couldn't make a fight, so guess who got the call?! Thanks again Bobby!

The first thing I did when I got to the arena was hunt him down to say "thanks so much" I have his home address and phone # now, and we have chatted over the phone since, but not much, I really don't want to bother him. I hope he does well with the rest of his life, and if he ever decides to leave New Jersey, he has a place to crash in New Orleans...

Jimmy Lennon Jr. is a class act all the way, I would never wish him harm. He has been ringside with me doing my thing in the ring, in fact he did a quick little interview for the network, I believe it was MSG (Madison Square Garden) anyway, the color commentator asked him what he thought about me, and he gave me a great review!

Did you know that he is a history teacher in L.A.?

If you have ever heard of the singing group "The Lennon Sisters" --- Well --- they are his Aunts!

Also, his Father Jimmy Lennon Sr. was the man who introduced the "Tuxedo" to the boxing ring! He was the first to wear one!
