alex leapai vs travis walker
according to boxrec fight is scheduled for the 30th on the mundine undercard
it should be a cracker of a fight, 2 blokes who could stand there and bang a house down with their fists.this should be a very good gauge to see where alex is at. :boxing:
who will win and how do you all think this fight will go:boxing::boxing:

Probably the best fight of the night.

At first glance, this seems to be a really tough fight for Leapai. Walker appears to be the bigger, stronger and more experienced fighter of the two. On closer inspection, the experience factor shouldn't really come into it. Although Walker has had more professional fights, they've both actually boxed a similar number of rounds.

Also note that each time Walker has stepped up, he's been stopped. His chin is actually really shaky. Check out his last fight against Johnathon banks, it ended in a rather odd fashion.

I suspect this fight may end up being 'battle of the chins', where Leapai has the advantage.

Also, Walker took this fight on short notice. Hopefully Alex has been putting in the hard yards working on his fitness.

Walker is ready to go mate, dont worry about the short notice.

Leapai is in the best condition of his pro career.

seen hes fight with arreola, hes definitely got some power and throws some great straight punches, alex wanna keep hes guard high and tight. i think its great matchmaking and initiative from the leapai camp because walker has a name, but is very beatable, it should be a belter of a fight that could garner a fair bit of attention and could really open doors for leapai abroad. hopefully he wins in devastating fashion:boxing:

I think a guy that has been knocked out four times in the last 18 months is going to struggle with Leapai, provided Alex can keep his own chin covered and set up the power shots.

Gotta love two big boys trading punches. Whilst it was entertaining to watch, both of them fought pretty stupid fights. I thought Leapai was lucky to get away with the win.

What win?

The ref gave him the fight, Alex was almost out several times and Walker clearly won round 4 up until the 3 punches that were half blocked.

The ref should be shot.

Thats the end of any more US fighters coming here for another 10 years.

The vid i saw, the stoppage looked shocking, Leapai had been hurt worse earlier but wasnt stopped, I didn't get it

Pathetic refereeing. It's going to take something massive for me to take any interest in boxing inside australia again, I'm at the point where I'm about to refuse to watch anything in our backyard.

sounds like danny greens win is more of a gift everytime I here of a terrible referee stopping fight early so the hometown guy wins.2 things here....first walker is done & secondly leipei isn't going to do anything outside Australia...gift wrapped win....shane cameron or meehan should fight this guy....tua would get charged with involuntary msnslaugter if he fought him

As opposed to deliberate manslaughter? Haha, I know exactly what you mean, I'd love to see Tua come over and do 7 fights in 7 days and wipe out all these pretenders, should take him about 5 rounds all up.

Take a look at 7:47. Walker actually looks at the referee. I think he's complaining about being hit behind the head. The ref interprets this as Walker wanting to quit.
